Well, basically the problem up to a few months ago was that my palettes are not of the desirable quality. The models look good, but they don't look good as units.

Odintheking was somewhat analytical with me and when I'll get time I'll try what he told me, plus that Poser 7 seems to render far better to PPro I was thus far using. So I'm hoping to get better quality now.

And I talked to a utility maker that promised to at least look at the possibility to write a palette program, so i'm hoping.

But if you want to laugh at my poor realization in unit making for Civ3, check out Thorgrim's Fallout mod. The Vault citizen and Vault shotgunner are there
(For the moment they are for use of FO mod only of course, besides I don't intend to publicaly release something that horridly looking)

So I'm creating the units and animating them and waiting for that utility.

I think that you should not worry so much about uploading units which may be seen as "horrible". I am not sure if you are more than an amateur graphic artist, but anyway here no one would mind. :)

Heh, I seem to have a habit of being particularly blunt. Hope you take it friendly like I meant it, ;). As for the renderer, It's at civ scale, so it doesn't need uber-quality renders, unless you like them. It's alot faster to render something with an older renderer, unless the Poser 7 renderer is really fast.

Well, no it wasn't blunt at all, just frank.
You didn't judge my skills anyway it was an offering of help basically, which I intend to try these days and hope it'll work.

I'm a judge of myself and it kinda bugs me, when I render perfectly in bmp and after the flic transfer it looks so much worse.

Poser 7's P4 renderer option in prolly even faster than P4 used to render things(which I still have installed). However it looks even worse than it would.

P4 is 3 seconds while p7 is 10 or more. Estimation for the Ghouls I'm posting in Wasteworld thread today. I'd rather go slow and expect good quality than going fast and my units are worse looking than kids can do nowadays.

Personally, I liked your vault units for fallout; but I understand you don't want to release anything unless it meets up to your standards. I'm looking forward to some great fantasy units!
