Nominations for First Chairman

I looked up our chairmen and listed them below:

  1. donsig 1-20
  2. AT 21-40
  3. donsig 41-60
  4. zyxy 61-80
  5. zyxy 81-100
  6. donsig 101-120
  7. zyxy 121-140
  8. Paul 141-160

donsig seems to need some encouragement. :pat:
donsig, would you like?

zyxy?
AT?
General?

Niklas, I miss your name in there. Although you already played 8 turns.
Are you ready for the chair? Maybe in another 5 turns (=5 weeks)?
I could continue to play till you are free from teaching stress.

How about AT or tomasjj? Maybe we should each chip in two bucks and get CSC for peter. Paul could also do another term.

I can do it but don't want to force an election - if anyone else wants a go I'll gladly wait another term.

Thanks for being willing Donsig :)

@Paul - I can't believe you'd nominate me after watching me play in the Grudge match
Thank you, but I respectfully decline. Especially considering the amazing talent we have on this team.

I'm a little better at Civ4 – as it's more forgiving of some of the MMing stuff I'm not so good at.

So for this game, I'll just stick with the Diplomacy and offering my unsolicited game advice from time to time :D

I might be available for play in roughly 6 weeks from now, when all my teaching duties have passed. If no one else wants the seat I could take it then, if Paul continues to play the saves until I'm ready. But I would definitely support anyone else on this team as well. AT and Aigburth are both really talented players, do neither of you want to take a period in the seat?

Aigburth. I almost forgot about this guy.
Anybody seen him lately? :)

Sure, he's around here every so often, though only rarely comments. Much like me in fact... :crazyeye:

Yes I'm still here and you're right I have been a little quiet recently.

I am interested in the job (maybe I could get us an SGL in the mtdg too ;)) however I am moving to London in around 4 weeks which will prevent me from giving the job the time it deserves. Perhaps the following term will be more suitable for me, I should be settled in by then.

And suddenly we have turn 161 in the box and no Chairman successor nominated.

I suggest the following: I continue till Niklas is available, he takes over for the rest of the set and then Aigburth does the next.

Although we already have the save and I could play, I'll wait a day to see how to react to FREE's message. So feel free to post other ideas (or agreement and support ;) ) here.

I'm fine with the proposed order of Succession :)

But I would be careless if I failed to mention that Paul has done an excellent job, and he would bring greater glory to all Councillors should he choose to continue in the post :salute:

Thank you for your service

Thanks a lot

I hope quality of communication is not suffering from my internet access problems. I still have to go to the internet cafe every evening...
Play at home and carry the save to and fro...

at least I can watch pay TV soccer there - I wonder if I can persuade them to show baseball in April
But they close at 2 pm - most games won't end before, just a few east coast weekend games I guess... :(

But till then I should have my own internet back - and baseball on my own pay TV :smug:

roughly six weeks are over, almost ten already.
Niklas, how are your students doing?

Or anybody else feel ready for the big chair?

Yeah, my coursework is completed (or rather I have the final exam review session tomorrow), but unfortunately my workload as such hasn't really lessened because of it. Slightly, but not as much as I had hoped. So I don't feel like I can take the responsibility.

turn 200 is ahead. Time to ask for some fresh blood.

Anybody feel like occupying the big chair?
We got a Golden Age going... :groucho:

Niklas, still busy with students and studies? :dubious:

No, I'm busy with CFC and vacation... :mischief:

donsig 1-20
AT 21-40
donsig 41-60
zyxy 61-80
zyxy 81-100
donsig 101-120
zyxy 121-140
Paul 141-215 (?)

Though I really enjoy occupying the Big Chair, I need to cope with some tough RL subjects in late August to September.
I defintely need a successor by turn 216 if we keep the current pace.

Volunteers, step up! :salute:

Any chance Niklas can play?... Or, for that matter, DL, Cubsfan, Aigburth, Hasdrubal, or any of the other people who have C3C and haven't taken a term yet? :mischief:

As I had announced, I'd like to resign from my duty and let another Councillor take the Chair. Please discuss who's playing the next turns.

I will however find time to follow the action but it might be less frequently than it was the last couple of months...

Being First Chairman has been a real pleasure and I have enjoyed the great support from all active members of The Council!! :thanx:

If we are having trouble finding a successor, I might volunteer to play one more single turn - but I'd like to avoid that.
