I agree with PG, I see no reason not to split the duty if both turn players are ok with it. It would require more care at handoffs though, not only actions but also reasons for them must be fully specified.
I think it would be better to have one captain on the bridge, for continuity, and because detailing all micromanagement would really be rather tedious. Also, each person has a different playing style.
There will be other turnsets after this one (I hope ), so there will be other chances for everyone that wishes to play. If we have a lot of candidates we can always shorten the sets to ten turns each.
As we have another candidate for the next set, and as I just played two sets, I will withdraw from the race, and restrict myself to pestering the new chairman with "helpful" advice .
I appreciate your decision, I also favor one man on the mouse, it's already enough if workers are sent back and forth every 20 turns
So, if no other steps up and AT is unsur about his response time, I'd say, good luck donsig, may you successfully guide The Council's Chamsuri through the troubled waters of these days...
You going to follow Donsig's example and name an outstanding Councilor for your term?
Peter Grimes for the Armory Thread? The editorial board of the RoundTable for thier expose' on the wasteful palace expansion? Alesandra Ambrosio as an honorary councilor for brining us a peace treaty with BABE's seal?
Nominations open for next term (which starts on turn 121). I'd like to take a break so I will not be entering what I expect to be a hotly contested race for First Chairman. Hey - looks like there's a chance the next First Chariman will preside over the building of the Sistine Chapel!
Thanks for guiding us further through the Babe crisis, which actually turned out not to be so much of a crisis after all, but still, good job!
As for a new first chairman, I'm technically able to be one (as in, I own c3c and I have the time) but I would not consider myself to be seriously in the race for it if there is even anyone else who has the game and the time (and the will to play). This is because my experience and knowledge of the game is only limited.
Just suggesting a bit here, but how about zyxy returning to the position of First Chairman? If he wants to, I'd nominate him.
I'll be happy to step up as contender for next term's chairmanship, but with one caveat: I'll be away in august for about a week, from august 12 to 20, and someone else would have to cover that period.
Also, we have several highly qualified people who haven't played a single set yet. So if Niklas or Paul would like to play, please step up!
