The Visor worded his VCs makes it look like he can win with the Sith (who were the SW mafia last time and probably are again) or either town. Zack probably created a role that would win with those factions and then decided Tarkin would be the guy for the job. I imagine there's also a seemingly anti-town but probably just anti-Sith character in the LOTR universe. I would probably have guessed Denethor but he went and died already, so I dunno. Gollum? He'd probably just want the One Ring. Guess we'll see Visor's alignment when he dies and then I can compare it to Jarhead's.

Anyway, I'm equally inclined to believe Dingdong, but at least he can still vote (if I read that right) after he dies. futile vote: Dingdong

I've been puzzling over something Sprig said to me in private, asking about which universe I'm from, and implying that he has a PG not to vote for people from one of the universes. I don't buy the latter - it just seems far too easy and rather lame.

However, it occurs to me that inquiries backed up by this kind of claim would be an excellent way to try and narrow down the range of possible Ring bearers. With three LotR characters already dead, the field has already narrowed, and, as other claims are put forth, it's only going to get narrower.

In case anyone doubts Sprig's guilt, ask yourself why he'd give up his PG to support an inevitable lynch, when he could just as easily preserve it by voting for the other guy, who is a pretty decent bet for scum himself?

A player giving up their bonus to further the odds of a faction victory? That doesn't seem terribly improbable, especially if the bonus seems too fiddly for any real chance of success.

Also, it doesn't really fit Sprig's established style to insert himself in the middle of this and steer the lynch on day 2 if he's scum. For all his activity, he's typically fairly patient in the early going, especially when the setting isn't known to all parties.

Right. I'm heavily inclined to believe Winston because this is a Zack game, and Zack loves making weird roles (which is why I love his games). It also says "The bad guys could be anyone. Similarly, anyone can be good or neutral" in the freaking rules.
