None Shall Pass 2 [Game Thread - Concluded]

vote: Remake. Help me understand your almost fanatical insistence that we vote for and only for Empire candidates? Both of these statements have come when both candidates are well in the lead for the lynch. It’s almost like you don’t want to have to focus on anything else.

The reason I insisted for these two candidates is that they A) Aren't town (though their position as anti-town is questionable) and B) Other options are just hunches and lack substantial evidence. I didn't see a reason to not lynch spaceman yesterday and I didn't wanted to support my vote. I think I underestimated how many votes spaceman had (I didn't take a good look at the tally cause I was posting in a rush).

One faction less, one Double A less. Pity that Double A appeared to be a protector, from an earlier update, but he didn't put up a defence.

Also, anyone with any information on the One Ring should contact me.

Lightsaber Man picked the lock on the back door and quietly slipped inside Backwards Logic's home. He tiptoed across the kitchen's tile floor and onto the soft carpet of the bedroom. The bed was empty, so Lightsaber Man waited.

And waited.

Finally, a noise came from the front door. Footsteps approached the bedroom, and soon enough Backwards Logic swung the door open and walked right into the lightsaber waiting for his stomach. His mouth agape, no words came out. Soon his face twisted into a look of shock and confusion, before all life dissipated from it.

The Berserker seethed with rage as he made his way to his victim. There would be no stealth tonight. He kicked down Sprig's door, axe in hand, only to find the mark standing in the kitchen, calmly pouring a cup of tea.

"Full of anger, you are. Anger leads to hate, ha-"

"Shut up."

The axe carved its way through the air towards the diminutive man's skull, who barely dodged out of the way in time. Sprig reached into his robe, as if to retrieve something, but the Berserker swatted him aside like a fly, leading to an unceremonious crash against the wall. Before Sprig could get up, the Berserker strode over and gutted his prey like a pig.

Sprig was Yoda!

He was a member of the Jedi Order!

The Warrior waited patiently on the roof of remake20's house, eyes vigilant. He could make out a large figure walking towards the house.

Go time.

As the figure stopped to unlock his door, the Warrior pounced on him from above, sinking his daggers deep into remake20. The blood flowed freely, and with a quick move of his arm the Warrior slit remake20's throat in one smooth motion.

"Yousa dead."

remake20 was Jar Jar Binks!

The Empire has been eliminated.

It begs the question with all of these different killers appearing, different people dying, etc: how many factions are there? We have confirmed: Town, Empire (now eliminated), Morgoth, and Jedi. And there are three killers now with no confirmed connection to any faction...

The funny thing is that i belived him for a while when he said he wasn't anti-town, the irony being that is was one of the jedi council who kinda unintentially convinced me. Basically a Jedi told me that Winston was part of the 'Empire Faction'. The Jedi said that his own faction VC was to elimate the Morgoth and Empire factions. I took that as it being possible that Empire was just a faction that mirrored The Jedi Council and therefor similar but counter goals. The Jedi also suggested that Empire recuirt "evil' aligned Starwars to their cause, hence the need for alignment scanning.

So I guess we should conclude the Jedi can recruit Good-aligned Star Wars characters. The question is, are they just Mason Rivals with the Empire or are they anti-town?

In theory they could, if Winston's VC was to kill off a certain subset of the town (e.g. kill all LOTRs, kill all non-humans (which would include Morgoth and is consistent with Tarkin's character and the Empire's portrayal in the Original Trilogy)).

Winston can win with a (small subset) of the town (Winston's VC doesn't include "destroy the town").

If we assume the Jedi Order and the Empire are rival factions with similar win conditions, it looks like the Jedi need to kill townies to win.

...Vote: azzaman333, for unrelated reasons.

Well, Lightsaberman sounds very much like Jedi faction.

Jedi and Jedi Order are not the same. I'm a Jedi Townie but not Jedi Order; Sprig PM'ed me with the Jedi Order Victory Condition and, if he's to be believed, it is compatible with Townie victory, especially now that Empire is extinguished. (But I don't think the Jedi Order was trying to Lynch spaceman -- they wanted him alive to scan for Morogoth.) Sprig's reveal (green color rather than reddish) confirms that Jedi Order isn't anti-Town, no?

Sprig neglected to put me in contact with fellow Jedi Townies before he died; any who believe me are welcome to PM me. I'd post my role, but skeptics may just think it's a cover-role.

Come on, the colour of the reveal isn't proof of Jedi Order not being anti-town. It is however clear proof of them not being town, and when we've seen someone with a lightsaber killing every night, it's hard to believe that they'd win with the town.

Vigilantes? SKs in disguise, am I right? You have a point, but we must be cautious of prejudice and aprioristic assumptions.

In any case, Someone gave me persuasive arguments to believe that christos needs to be pressured, which is why I voted for him and I encourage others to do so as well.

Vote: SamSniped, for the same reason I voted Spaceman last day (and I was proved correct).

You accuse the slayer of Morgoth to be anti-town?

Winston, Spaceman and Sprig have all claimed that their VC were to eliminate the opposite "cult" and the Morgothians and that they could win with the town. As the empire is out, only the followers of Morgoth have to be afraid of the Jedi. Vote:azzaman333
