Hi, I'm fairly new to Civ4 and C2C. While i can understand most of the mechanics of the game there is something about cultures that i don't get.

I started with a custom civilization module, modified from United states, so it starts with Culture(North America). Having Culture(North America), i could build cultures of Huron, Cheyenne, Klamath etc. But for Confederates, American, or Canadian i can't build these cultures because i don't have Culture(European). So my real question is how do i get Culture(European) or another starting culture.

I'm currently using SVN rev6764 (slightly modified).

Thanks in advance and sorry for bad English.

You? your not.
The only way your getting it is you conquer someone with it. Having assimilation enabled would help this be possible. But your not able to get culture(european) without conquering a nation from there.

Thanks for the reply, that's what i feared, for the only European County, England is long gone by.

depending on your settings...no, they still exist. Just try to coax the conquerer of them to get a high revolution level. Then when they rebel, go and support England via attacking that nation, then conquer england, then your well on your way to do doing it.

Just use "Effect - Ellis Island Europe" as the names. that way it is obvious that they are an effect of the wonder and not some building you can build in some other way.

I was thinking if we should make general buildings as well for that. So that you have a set of Buildings "Immigration - <Baseculture>" which would require either Ellis Island OR a later Tech, for example Globalization. So Ellis Island would still have a benefit (it gets them earlier) but others could also get them.

Sounds fine to me. I was just trying tofigure out an alternate way to get building that wonder the effect of getting all regional cultures.
