Not quite a goodbye...

Nostalgia...

Remember when the demogame was fun? I do. I’m not quite sure where it became not fun, but it did. We became too rules oriented, this is a game people, people play games to have fun. Maybe bickering about where a city is and where to draw imaginary lines on a map is fun for some of you, and that’s great, you have found enough fun to sustain your interest in this game, I haven’t.

While I won’t be leaving the demogame, I won’t be spending the amount of time I have with it any more. A lot of things have gone into this decision: the demogame becoming less and less fun each day, homework, a girlfriend, basketball practice, etc. Sadly, you won’t be seeing me very much. I’ll pop in occasionally, and I’ll still play the RPG, though.

Maybe if we can lose some of these rules and just stop caring so much about them, I’ll give you guys a hundred percent again. But until then, or until I start having withdrawals…. I guess this is good bye, for the most part.

The game is different things to different people. I hope sometime you get enjoyment here since your contributions have always been valuable. May I suggest giving a little break and coming back with a fresh approach?

Or just take the retirement plan. The bonuses are nice. Sure, you don't get the government power anymore but Sunday nights at shuffleboard are just great!
