Not sure I'll finish

Halfway through the month and I'm only up to 1200AD. English are gone, started working on the Vikings, but have a long ways to go. Plus car problems and some busy weekends are cutting into my available playing time. I didn't post this in the game updates thread because the first post says he's at 1500AD and I didn't want to read farther and stumble on a spoiler. Hope I can finish in time

Is it too late to change strategy and go for an early launch instead without taking over the world first? You'd probably do that much quicker.

Actually, I've never really gone for the world conquest route, but assumed it would be faster. Maybe I should switch back to space route. I was getting a tech every 4 turns in Republic before switching to Fundy for the war on the Vikings (first time ever in Fundy, kinda fun, actually ). I've got the Statue now, so could go Demo and really crank up the techs and pop. I"ll give that some thought. My car problems are now (hopefully) solved, but work is very, very busy right now. We'll see.

P.S. Stormerne, LOVE the "storm eagle" sig Very, very cool!!

Looks like I'm really out of GOTM#2 now. I haven't played in over a week, and with a few hours available last night and this weekend, now my freakin' computer is flaking. Fortunately, I "know a guy" who I'm taking it to tonight, so I might actually get it back this weekend, hoping it's nothing major. Sounds like the cooling fan, at least. Just hope it can be replaced without requiring a major upgrade. Then again, I do need the upgrade. Might be a blessing in disguise. Guess I'll have to catch a GOTM later; I'll be too busy in April.

I might also not have time enough to finish it...

I have to make reports of my practicum<FONT size="1">(?)</FONT s> and I got to learn for exams, of which the last one is on the 2nd of April. And I have to work on all of your results.

But maybe I can learn for the exams during the day and in the evening I'll finish my game and afterwards I'll process all the results, which mean they'll be up somewhere in the week of April 2nd. Would that be ok for you guys?

Hey don't worry guys!!! I have only just reached 1000 AD and that is only because I have a friend that works a lot!!! Since my computer still doesn't work, I'm not sure that I'll manage to complete my game either - but I will sure as H... try!!!!!!!!!!!

So Matix, those of us who don't manage to finish, should we send you our last save game anyway, or would we be better off just waiting for next month?

P.S., I know others may by on pins and needles waiting (american expression), but don't sweat getting the results up right away. We'll all live if it takes a few days. You need to focus on your exams.

Bad news: I have thought of it, but I must be harsh and exclude the people from the results when they didn't submit their games in time That means I won't be in there as well .

Good news: After the (actually just one totally big, rather than multiple) exam, the first thing I'll do is make the results of the GOTM #2.

Matrix, what I meant was, should I just send in my game wherever I am on March 31 even if it's not complete, or just not send it in at all. I know you don't want games sent after the close of the month.
