Just downloaded the latest version of TBC this afternoon 8.6.3 I think...

First time I have played since the latest patch.

Notifications are not working. Seems everything else works OK. I can hear the sounds of say a wonder being built but no bubble shows up. Do I have turn them back on or something?

also Info Addict making menu appear too short. (Top right)

Running:
Emigration, Barbarians, Info Addict, CSD, RED, Tree Growth.

I think Emigration and Tree Growth are out of date.
Barbarians is included in this mod.

Check the Common Problems list. When a mod doesn't load it could be any number of things... multiple versions installed, cache, userdata, conflict with another mod, etc.

So I removed all three. Cleared the cache, Mod users data etc...

Worked nicely.

Thanks for all you do!

Is Civ Willard up to date? Been playing with it but not sure.

CivWillard and Info Addict are the two mods I use in addition to my own. CivWillard has some problems but overall it's a great mod. :)

Is yours or one of these mods removing the hover info modifiers from the diplomacy dropdown? (hover mouse over another civ and it lists all the +1/-1's of why the like/dislike you)

That tooltip works for me with those three mods installed. What problem exactly are you having, does the tooltip just not display?

Ya, it doesn't show up at all, persistent through multiple version changes and cache wipes. Terrain tooltips show up and I've tried hovering for a while in case it was a timing thing.

Do any error messages show in the tuner at one of these points:

  1. When a game starts
  2. When you hover over the diplomacy panel
(Click here for information on the tuner)

No errors when a game starts or when I hover. Only get the following errors after I click on 'Mods' from the main menu:

Runtime Error: [string "C:\Users\Brian\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier..."]:19: attempt to index global 'MapModData' (a nil value)
Runtime Error: [string "Assets\Gameplay\Lua\AssignStartingPlots.lua"]:18: attempt to index global 'Events' (a nil value)
Runtime Error: [string "C:\Users\Brian\Documents\My Games\Sid Meier..."]:19: attempt to index global 'MapModData' (a nil value)
Runtime Error: [string "Assets\Gameplay\Lua\AssignStartingPlots.lua"]:18: attempt to index global 'Events' (a nil value)

I just realized I'm not running InfoAddict though. But I thought this was a vanilla feature?

Those specific messages always happen and don't seem to cause any problems, it's some sort of vanilla bug with entering/exiting games.

Well, we've ruled out these things with the diplomacy tooltip:

  • Nothing wrong from the common problems list.
  • No error happens on your system.
  • Works on my system.
I'm really not sure what else to try.

Is it a problem from turn 1 for you, or does it only happen later in the game?
