NoTW XIX: The Song of the Nightingale - Game Thread

I find it potentially dangerous that some people among us are prepared to give this knife to the bodyguard when he has clearly failed to do his job and also failed to respond to a PM from me. I am actually suspicious of him at the moment. If I get the knife, then after a PM conversation wth LF, I decide he is innocent and there is a good reason why he failed us, and that he will be able to protect us from further harm, I will give him the knife. Untill then, I beg you not to trust him.

{OOC : Okay guys, sorry for the silence but I'm in London for the week-end, so I cannot give the time needed to this game. I also don't have my computer, so I miss my private notes. Anyway, I'll just make a quick vote to avoid being too much inactive. I hate going with the mob, but it's the only thing I can think of right now.}

Dear Captain, I hope the amulet won't bring you bad luck and that it is important to your family after all. Same goes with the knife, use your wisdom to put it to good use.
(the Amulet and knife to Kol.7)

And Gandhi rules, I accuse you of being a poisoner.

I just wanted to point out the chain of victory:

First Place:

Good: *Insert Victory condition Here*, Self Survived, Objective fulfilled

Neutral: *Insert Victory Condition Here*, Objective fulfilled, Self survived

Evil: *Insert victory Condition Here*, Objective Fulfilled, Self Survived

Second Place:

Good: *Insert Victory Condition here*, Objective fulfilled

Neutral: Self Survived, Objective fulfilled

Evil:*Insert victory Condition Here*, Objective Fulfilled

Third place:

Good: *Insert Victory Condition here*, Self Survived

Neutral: Objective Fulfilled

Evil:*Insert victory Condition Here*, Self Survived

Please Keep this in mind.

{OOC: I hate so complain, but the black font is really hard to see for black background users....}
I find it a little strange that all the items have gone to kol.7... I am not suggesting that he's guilty, but there really isn't any proof of his innocence, yet he is determined to get that knife, which did not protect his mother, even while another offers to protect him. I know that LF doesn't have any proof of innocence either, but if protection is his job, then it makes more sense to give Lightfang the knife. That amulet seems to more of bad luck than anything else, so I'm not going to wish it upon anyone...

I agree with Tyrs. Much as I trust our captain, we should not put all our eggs in one basket. However, Kol.7 can have the amulet. And the bodyguard has the most training....maybe he should get the knife. And possible gandhi rules can explain his violent outbursts against someone who might be able to protect him...

Bold yer votes si vous plait!

I must try to protect my mother, gandhi_rules, as she has done for me. May Tali have mercy on us. I would like her to have the the knife as well, as it appears she may need it to defend against all of you!

I am also somewhat suspicious of Kol.7's trying to acquire every shiny item that comes available, though perhaps that is only natural. In any case, I have no qualms about allowing him to have the amulet -- it has been nothing but bad luck so far.

(OOC: I don't really want to case a useless vote for the knife, so if no one else votes it to g_r *and* the vote between kol.7 and LightFang is close *and* I have time to get back online before evening, I will probably change it.)

OOC: Err I'm pretty sure you bold the person your want to give the item to, not the name of the item itself. For eg. I vote to give Kol.7 the amulet.

I don't think you should assume my so-called body guard has had training. My father saved him from a life a poverty, I know of no military training. Also, as he has failed to protect my parents, a task specifically given to him. What makes you think he's trustworthy of having the knife?

{OOC: Did none of you guys read my speech here? My goodness.}

I must say, I know I'm not guilty. I swear it upon the dead captain's soul.

{OOC: But the illogic of this is so obvious. He fails to do his job, so you refuse to give him the tools which will allow him to do his job better?}

I believe that Gandhi rules is innocent, so I will support her. Many people seem to be accusing her with very little evidence at all.

So much bickering, so much anger. Don't anyone realize where this ship is headed? Ah, would that I could turn it around...

I also doubt I can turn that ugly bandwagon around, I believe the charges brought against the plainswoman are very weak indeed. I repeat what I've said before, I find it most unlikely that someone would stick their neck out in that fashion if they are innocent. You are all jumping on the outspoken, and the ones who are the real danger stay in the shadows and bide their time. I would support gandhi rules, but that would bring little new to the situation, and might risk putting another innocent to death instead. So instead I will again cast my vote for Tolis Ironfist. The shadows are deep...

My dear husband, I trust your judgment : Tolis is up to no good.

And i wonder what makes me suspect now? The fact that i voted against Niklas as he first voted for me? What logic. *Applauds*

I love your lack of reasoning and any sort of evidence. I have remained mostly silent, except to defend myself once, and once again i am called upon to defend myself. What, do you guys WANT me to join in the pointless bicker when i have nothing to say. I said it once, and ill say it again, I speak when im damned ready to speak. Im not the one throwing arround random accusations. But since i m being so harshly accused without any word of why, i will will declare my innocence.
I dislike venedettas. And i also find it funny that i am being condemned without ever saying a word to his family, or anyone else for that matter.

(OCC: i would like to have more time to keep up on this, but i sadly dont. Life is keeping me very busy. Im lucky that caught this. Things should be better for me in a few days when im done moving into a new apartment)

"Tolis Ironfist? I've never heard of this person. At least get our name right, you useless pack of Wavecrawlers."

The Ironsmith housewife glares angrily at the Wavewalkers.

"This is ridiculous! You refuse to vote against Gandhi because 'there is no proof,' but then you attack my daughter, citing no proof, claiming 'the shadows are deep' whatever that means and then forcing your family to follow suit. How ridiculous."

All votes after 8pm EST shall not count. I apologize for the delay and the update will be up as soon as i get home.

Evening 2

As evening approached, the survivors resigned themselves to the death of ghandi rules, even though some of her overzealous supporters attempted to save her even after the deadline.

Rather than face the terror of the mob and perhaps the sharks as well, ghandi rules chose to use one of his fishing nets to hang himself in his cabin. As they left feeling sickened all of the survivors knew that:

Spoiler :
The Weaver, ghandi rules, was innocent

The song of the Nightingale carried the tired and depressed men and women to sleep.
