Not only did Zack try to kill you, but when you've finally survived that ordeal, he assaults you with insulting rhetoric to try and coerce you into voting his way. And you're falling for it!

Look, I can't answer for all his mythological mumbo-jumbo. I'm just here for the relics. We both have something that the other holds; I can give you the money, you can give me the relics. Simple enough.

They are a sickening, vicious corps of demonic lieutenants who serve their Master tirelessly. Some relish combat and serve as battle-line commanders. Others, like the one you met, are more insidious, operating through the shadows and in discretion.

I can assure you, it takes every ounce of diligence and perseverance to protect Earth from their wrath. With the relics, we may finally have the tool from which we can defeat these enemies, once and for all.

As you may have noticed, however, Zack would be more than content with keeping them locked away, apathetic to the struggle we all face.

Were you ever curious as to why you were continuously attacked during the Night even after Spiritus Raptor had been killed? Do you think you ended his existence by putting a bullet through him? Do you wonder why he was kept in this Tomb rather than executed so long ago?

And, worse of all, ever think why he thanked you for killing him?

You released him from his human shell and gave him the capacity to return to Hell. These bodies are just vessels for another purposes. They're expendable.

Also, if the Fortune hunter got them?

Spiritus Raptor was using the Relics to fuel his power. He would have had no problem destroying all of you, should he have gathered enough Relics.

The Archangels would have given them to Zack. As you can imagine, Zack doubled-down on this proposition by hiring you in the first place. He wants to manipulate you through the contract -- his plan was to acquire them whether you succeeded or not.

I cannot speak for the Fortune Hunter. He is a mere mortal.
