NotW XXVI: Children of Kylorin (Game Thread)

The travelling merchant peddles his wares, wishing that they actually belonged to him:lol:

I dunno if i want to lynch that Ekolite on such shaky grounds, but we might as well hear what he has to say for himself.

A good inspection for a tail might be in order too.....

As for the gold, im not going to hide that I want it. Despite being a merchant, I havent quite made it yet- and while I hate to profit from the misfortunes of others.....

I must agree that we should wait for Ekolite response before we lynch him. For while it seems that ZPV death was a nessicary thing, the Shaman's death seems accidental. I wouldn't be suprised if his death actual was an accident and thatthe werewolf was hoping for someone else. If so then he truely got schooled.

I think that if we give the gold to Pinman the Merchant, he may be inclined to lower the prices on his wares out of the goodness of his heart.

Not having seen the bloodshed with his own eyes, the orphan is not in complete panic, however he is very apprehensive. Death reminds him of his parents, memories come flooding in, and tears start rolling off his cheeks.

The until so far taciturn Healer shows her face. She has silently been contemplating the deaths that have happened so far, and tried to make heads or tails of it. Unfortunately, she hasn't got a clue who might be responsible for those horrible deeds.

"Let us hear the Priest's story. The words of a dead man who was not involved in any of the atrocities should not be taken lightly, but it was only a mild suspicion."

Sigh... Pinman canh ave the golds if he wants...

Why vote the gold to the merchant? He gets it anyway when we purchase items from him, so voting it to him seems rather foolish.

The farmer's daughter stares at the gold in awe. She's never seen that much gold before and would love to have it given to her.

Seems like a rather odd statement.

Um. Yes, well. Before he died, the Shaman did say he had an eensy weensy suspicion of someone, and to make a note of it if he was killed. Which he was. HE DIDN'T TELL ME WHY HE WAS SUSPICIOUS, I just want to make that clear. Ahem. So. I said I would make a note of it, and I do try to keep my word, even though I wasn't expecting to have to, you know, so, um, Ekolite the Priest, you wouldn't happen to have wolfish tendencies, would you?

I'm curious regarding this too, so until we get a a good reason for it, I'd also like to hear what kol has to say.

The Champion sidles out into the village square as if he's hoping no one will notice him, and he delivers his entire speech while facing a convenient wall, on the theory that that way, maybe no one will hear him.

Duty done, the Champion sidles right on back to his hut, only poking his head out once more after a few seconds to request the gold. (Renata)

The priest emerges from the Chapel, with righteous fury gleaming in his eyes. He wields his gold-plated staff before him, swinging it lightly from side to side, as if to ward of the evil presence in the village.

''I spoke to Kulko last night, I do not deny it. As a Priest of Order it is my divine duty to make contact with those of lesser faiths in order to persuade them to forgo their dark ways and instead join the way of light. However, this particular conversation dealt with who we suspected would be most at risk from attack, we both agreed that he himself would be a potential target, as the pagan faiths are known for their prophetic shamen, we also identified a range of others who could be at risk. We also discussed how many threats this village might face. In total, the discussion lasted for only about ten minutes. I cannot recall anything that could have made him even a little suspicious and frankly I am offended that he would even talk about me in such a way. I am a man of God, a man of Junil for heavens' sake. I am no killer.''

''As we only have Renata's word on this, and as I have (looked over my conversation logs) and found no reason for Kulko to have been suspicious, I accuse Renata! She must fear that I possess similar powers as she believed Kulko did, and she wants me dead before I can reveal her as the murdering low-life that she is. This is a false belief, as no man of Junil would stoop so low as to delve into the pagan rituals of sorcery. Repent for your accusation against a man of God now Renata, and you shall be spared''

''Finally, the orphan child should have the gold. Junil loves the poor.''

He turns around on the spot and storms back into his Chapel, slaming the door behind him.

"Renata has nothing to do with this. You know, I once serviced a man of Junil once..." she added, wrapping her arms around his much to his chagrin. "Are you lonely, Ekolite?"

The travelling merchant is rather distressed by the wild accusations.

Both the Priest and the champion seem to be honorable people, these wild and unsubstantiated accusations will only serve to ensure that one of these distinguished chaps will die without purpose.

I would like to hear from StuckinPi.

"Sucellus tells us to care about the weak, and help those in need. Therefore, the orphan may best make use of the gold, to defend himself against the dangers that the night seems to bring us."

The Champion pouts furiously that anyone might disagree with him. He was only keeping his word, after all, and isn't that important?

Indeed what *has* Stuck in Pi been up to? For a supposed Bard, he doesn't sing much. Now me? I'm going for a run.

The Champion trots off, his racing shoes kicking up clouds of dust behind him.

Stuck in Pi. I would like to hear from you as well...

''If the Champion has seen sense then I see no reason to hang him, after all, we will need all the stong men and women we can get if we are to fight of the dark menace in this village. (Renata)''

"Hold on a moment, Champion, are you going to give up our only lead so easily? I distrust the quiet ones as much as anyone, but if the Shaman truly told you to investigate the Priest in the case of his death, you shouldn't give up so easily. And if he didn't tell you to check out the Priest, as the Priest's own testimony would indicate that he had no reason to, then why call out the Priest in the first place?"
