Afternoon One
The hours following the discovery of the murders were some of the darkest in village history. Even the holy and the learned were not free from suspicion. Despite this, it seemed as though the main point of contention was not finding the killer, but instead obtaining the gold left behind by their peers. Greed it seemed, ran deeper than grief.

Evening One
After the outburst by everyone in the early hours of the day, the second half was quiet by comparison. The priest was the first to be suspected of eating his fellow villagers, but few seemed to believe that ekolite was capable of such a thing. Next to be subjected to the scrutiny of the crowd was the champion, renata, but her supporters were out in full force, yielding large signs with either red or blue paint that he was never far from.
In the end, the lack of music from the bard made several villagers quite rowdy and a few even went so far as to try running him out of town, but as soon as stuck in pi started playing, all (or most at least) were calmed by his music. But even that couldn’t calm the storm that was an orphan bullied. He led a strong charge against the student but in the end, even that fell short of convincing the village.
At the end of the day then, no clear consensus was reached about who exactly was at fault for these murders so it was decided, in true Amurite fashion, to leave it at that and hope the following day would bring no more deaths. What was decided though was the future home of the left behind gold. Evidently, the poor merchant was so bad at his job that the village decided to bail him out of his debt. The poor orphan was left with nothing—it would be another hungry night for him.

Day Two
The villagers awoke in the middle of the night to the sound of a loud explosion. As one, they rose from their bed and ran out to the source of the explosion, the home of the tanner Oyzar. Or what was left of it at least.
It was obvious to all that he was killed instantly by the enormous fireball that consumed his home. Picking through the wreckage, they found little left intact. One of the few items remaining was the Knife of Alazkan. Even though he had this relic of the great assassin, the lack of other evidence proved to all of them that

Only once they overcame the shock of their dead companion did they hear the sobs of the Farmer’s Daughter, Methos.
“My dad….” She sobbed “My dad…the werewolf… the werewolf ate my dad, Jono!”
With heavy hearts, the villagers went to the outskirts of town where his farm was located to find what was left of him. All of a sudden, one of the trees, obviously weakened by the fires the previous night and once again by the flames that had killed oyzar, started to sway. With a loud crack, it fell towards the assembled villagers.
They scattered of course, but a few of them did not scatter fast enough. The soldier z4ckdabeast was crushed under the tree, as was the blacksmith, catharsis. It was only by the quick action of their luckier friends that neither was killed. They lifted the massive tree enough (using ropes that Banana Lee had been smart enough to bring) to drag the two wounded out from under it. The blacksmith was up again as soon as the tree was moved, but the soldier was not so lucky. Despite the best combined efforts of the healer and the priest, it was obvious that it would take a large amount of luck for him to ever walk again. They fashioned a litter our of some of the branches and continued on to the home of the farmer.
A quick search revealed that the farmer had nothing of interest in his home. For that reason, it was agreed that he was….

I want the Knife, to be straightforward: I need it because of it's profits. Some people would give piles of gold for this knife, even if it's real or not.
