Gilgamesh, he and I have unfinished business and I look forward to pummeling him in 3D.
Also really looking forward to the random events and civ-specific graphics. Going to add a lot of flavor to the game and give it a lot of replay value.
Finally, can't wait to put the new BTS music into my Itunes Civ IV folder. Always good to expand that.

The timing though, I've got one more important working week and then 3 weeks on holiday so the game will probably be available when I get back.

I need BtS NOW !!!! Corps will give many nice new options, but the best feature should be the new AI by Blake. It could make this great game so much better.

My favorite thing about BtS was the new spy system, until I heard that Next War can also be a mod to add the future era to the Main Game.

I think Firaxis did an overall excellent job in this expansion! This is the kind of product that attracts more fans to the franchise

The random events - ahh, yes. We are told there are over a hundred of them, and not all of them will appear in one single game. That should add some spice and variety. Still, suppose I play as, say, Pericles (which is a very likely thing to happen) and then I suddenly get a message that I am now married to Isabella! What will happen THEN?

It improves modding greatly, so next FfH will be for BtS

And everything else is more or less fine. I like spies, corporations, EVENTS! etc., it just remains to see how good will they be incorporated. I think HRE discussions are stupid. I'm not a big fan of it either but it's not such a big thing that I'd complain. Neither Boudicea bothers me.
If you dont like some mechanic, you can discuss it here, but if you just complain about 'historical accuaracy' don't spam the forums please. You don't like it, don't buy it. Some people here should get a life.

I think it might be nice to use some of the new features to wage a limited war against a space-race opponent (Mansa Musa comes to mind, I wonder which of the new guys will be like him). Take out some key resources with guided missiles, blockade his ports to isolate him and try to get air superioriy to bomb him to the stone age, because that seems crucial with the new 100% intercept chance (although with just guided missiles and espionage, you could do a whole lot without air superiority I think).
