Nubia First Look

YEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!!!

Very unexpected, but I'm liking the look of this civ and leader!

The only thing that might keep them in check is their reliance on desert tiles, which are typically terrible.

That new wonder really intrigues me. No idea what its bonuses could be.

[Edit]: Starting to seem likely that the third new leader will be a roman or egyptian one. Egypt is seeming more and more likely, since most people dislike Cleopatra.

However, they should have called the "nubian pyramids" "meroan pyramids" ... Because it will fun to read on the screen nubian nubian pyramid (just like the venitian venitian galley.

I don't think tile improvements specify ownership? It would be amusing though ;)

I think it's about time Nubia founds its way into Civ. An interesting choice for a DLC, certainly.

Really strong production bonuses as well. Going to be a real nuisance in the early game with those archers.

Now... some patch notes maybe? :P

When will it be available? Any single mention in steam news or in the youtube video.

There doesn't seem to be an alt-leader on this DLC. It (or another civ) must come with the SEA DLC06.

@Jewelrunna Well but on the other side until you unlock them with masonry and research the Tech for building religious districts many civs will already have founded their religion

+50% production to archers +50% production Agoge +40% production to districts (with adjacent Pyramid) = hella fast districts with a well timed builder chop into an almost done archer. wonder if the +100% spillover will get another 40% if it is directed into a district

I like Nubia! It says "available now" at the end of the video, but I didn't see it on steam anywhere, you guys see it?

"SCENARIO: “THE GIFT OF THE NILE”
Nubia lies in modern-day Sudan, south of Egypt. So, for the new “Gifts of the Nile” Scenario, you lead either Nubia or Egypt to see who will control the Nile River. The winner is the first civilization to complete seven Temples dedicated to Amun in this 125-turn scenario."
I Wonder if the forest chopping strategy of the Australian scenario will work this time again.
