OB04 - Five Is The Magic Number

I just got back from a trip and happily, my computer has as well. It seems to be running smoothly, so stick me back into the roster. Unfortunately, I have a lot to do tomorrow, so I won't be able to get to it for a while. Dwaarf can jump in ahead of me.

Did we get a settler produced to grab some Egyptian land? We've got two cities left, I thought one here and one in Vicky's ex-barb city.
We have a Settler standing on the ruins of Heliopolis. Is everyone OK with this site?

Also are there any opinions on whether we want a Great Prophet or a Great Merchant next? Ralph made a good argument for the GM. We've got better odds on the Prophet, though.

Stupid Bloody Kitchens

Plans.

Beat up Rameses

Do we have any other voices about where to settle the settler apart from where he is now??

We currently dont have any culture from New Madrid which I think we need to rectify, that is prob only build apart from Hindu shrine.

I will take it tomorrow to allow people to point out anything I've missed.

Have played seven and got to a point,

We have razed Thebes and Giza, we lost half a dozen units at Thebes due to some suiciding and bad luck but took it quickly, Giza took longer to wear down but losses were light. Rameses is willing to capitulate for peace, I think we should take it, we are not going to capture any more of his cities within next few turns and as we can only burn his cities we are only making room for others to settle, and we could use his remaining military in battles to come. I will play out and accept in the morning unless anyone has any strong objections.

I think we are just looking to war with the AIs until they will capitulate. The stronger they are when they capitulate, the better as they can then help in upcoming wars. As long as we have settled our new city on the Egyptian borders, I say take the deal, play the extra 3 and then we'll think about who to attack next.

Sorry delayed.

Took the peace offer and Ramese capitulated and also got music and some coin.

GP was born in Tiwanaku and created Hindhu shrine. Currently healing injured units and moving reinforcements east. Do we go for Vicky or Darius next?? I think pos Vicky as she only has four cities on mainland. I moved our spy to take a look in her main cities, London was well defended by muskets and lbows but york only 2-4 units, and Bantu should be easily taken. Chemistry is in next turn also.

Well done, Mighty. Four down and two to go.

As to who we go after next, I'm not really sure. Darius is more advanced and has more power, so I'm leaning towards him. The good thing about Darius is that Izzy and Ramesses will provide our border, so our homeland will be all right. A problem with Vicky is we have no navy (at least until Ralph is back up). Our army is over Persia ways so it does seem the best choice.

I've updated the 2nd post.

Roster:

Ozbenno - In Deck
Ralph Jackson
Conroe
Mighty Dwaarf
Kodii - UP

EDIT: We should demand sheep from Ramsses as well.

I'm OK with Darius next. As for the boats, how much of a navy are we going to need? I would hope that Vicky would capitulate after taking all of her mainland cities.

Which brings up a question in my mind? Will we automatically win once all of the AI capitulate to us? Or do we need enough land from the AI to reach the domination limit? I know vassals count 50% towards domination, not sure about conquest, though.

Ive swayed towards Darius, once we can force him to capitualtion his remaining forces can help against vicky, whereas vicky's forces will be stuck on islands and offer little help against Darius.

T0 1600AD - I demand Sheep from Ramesses

T1 1605AD - Chemistry is in, Military Science selected; There is a GG in Akkad, so I assume its for settling purposes

T2 1610AD - New Madrid completes its Library and:

T3 1615AD - Then this happens:

Oh well, kill two ugly birds with one stone?

T8 1640AD - It wasn't discussed, but Ramesses had two settlers in the vicinity:

T10 1650AD - Darius' shiny new Riflemen were tough to face, but I cannot stress enough: Trebuchets, Trebuchets, Trubuchets!!!

Darius will talk, but won't capitulate. We may wish to converge troops upon Persepolis (we need a lot more trebs), and hope that he capitulates after that. We can also decide whether or not we want to go after Vicky as well.
