Obama shouldn't go to Iraq

Obama went once. Some 800+ days ago.

Are you sure about that? I dont think he has ever been. Can you verify?

EDIT: Found it. Yeah, he spent an entire 2 days in Iraq. He was supposed to stay longer but left early.

Guess it was too hot for him.

I will correct my scorecard appropriately.

/meh. Obama didnt stay long enough to find out whether he was sunni or shia....

/meh Hey cant complain to much even with all these ohhh mistakes all the time at least hes a damm sight better then the current president.

in politics, as in life, when one is in a hole, he or she should stop digging. This advice was not heeded by John McCain's campaign today. Both the Senator and his aides sought to brush away his factually inaccurate statement that American troops in Iraq were down to pre-surge levels. In the process, they made the hole even bigger.

Reminded that troops in Iraq currently number 155,000, well above the pre-surge level of 130,000, McCain refused to acknowledge on Friday that he had misspoke.

"I can tell you that it [the mission in Iraq] is succeeding," said McCain. "I can look you in the eye and tell you it's succeeding. We have drawn down to pre-surge levels."

The problem, however, was that this was not McCain's only gaffe. During the same Thursday conference when he misstated troop levels, he also argued that conditions were "quiet" in Mosul. That same day, three suicide bombers killed 30 in the city.

Al Franken 7

McCain: 7

Obama: 1 (for a whopping 2 days)

Clinton: 3

The score?

Visits to Iraq. :p

he headlined two USO shows while traveling with Russell Burnham, the U.S. Army Soldier of the Year. Franken has done seven USO tours to date, his most recent being in mid-December 2006.

An Obama presidency would be terrible for Hugo Chavez and Ahmandinejad because they need an enemy to stay in power. With our current foreign policy, all those leaders have to do is posture against the United States.

I see you've been drinking the Obama-Ahmadinejad-ade. I don't know how you can stomach the stuff. I think it's made of lamb's blood (since there are no fruits in Iran).

I don't know what the GOP kool-aid is made of, but I've heard that you've got to give some sort of toe tapping signal to get it.

Nah, you need to beat four poor people, then brutalize seven criminals, beat ten non-believers until they repent, castrate one representative from each nonwhite race in America, and then tell your girlfriend to make you a sandwich and feed the kids. After you do all of this, mop the blood off the floor (make sure its frothy) and drink from it.

Does anyone seriously care wich politician has gone in the green zone surrounded by a heavy military escort? Dubya serving turkey to troops on a one day stop for a photo-op doesn't mean he actually knew more when he left the country. Politicians visiting the place are in no way more qualified, that is unless they actually served over there à la Patrick Murphy. Everything else is partisan bs. This is all very ridiculous. McCain should at least learn the difference between Sunnis and Shias before playing this stupid game.
