I am looking for persons interested in participating in my new Orbis PBEM. This time I am thinking about One City Challenge!

I will start this game, if I find at least 3 persons willing to participate. Maximum number of participants is 4 + 1 (me, Jarema, myself). I feel that larger number of players leads to slow games that do not end.

Civilizations that are forbidden: Kuriotates, Scions of Patria, Khazad. Also, if one summons Hyborem, switching to Infernals is forbidden.

Other things that can be discussed:
1. mapscript: Erebuscontinents
2. some, or even a lot, of AI around
3. No settlers option - so AI have only one city for some time
4. no barbarians - so AI cannot capture a lot of cities from them (and for different play experience)
5. high difficulty, small or normal map, quick speed, all victories enabled
6. any other suggestions?

Players (in order):
1. Jarema - Svartalfar
2. Lgaard - Sheaim, Tebryn

4. pixiejmcc - Grigori, Cassiel
5. OldLion - Sidar. Sandalphon

Sounds like fun. I'd be keen, but mark me as Tentative as I'm still not sure if my Orbis is going. There been any new patches?

Dibs on Malakim.

I hope that you will have everything right :)
please, check if you can play

There been any new patches?

There was this elemental quickfix, and... I am not sure, but I believe nothing important recently

And, of course, welcome OldLion :goodjob:

I am looking for at least one more player...

I'm interested but I've never played Orbis (about to rectify that now), haven't played much FFH2 and have never played via PBEM (do we simply email saves to each other)? If I'm not a suitable candidate I won't be offended!

Well,
We send saves to each other.

The deciding factor to know whether you are suitabe are rather :
- can you play more than 4 turns a week every week ?
- Will you still be playing 3 weeks from now ? and one year from now ?

Good questions. 3 weeks. Yes, I'm sure. A year from now... I guess I couldn't guarantee it. Better count me out - though I do rather like the idea of PBEM and its something I'd like to try some time.

Maybe OldLion is exaggerating a little... I think that in most cases it will not be a year, especially because I am aiming for a small number of players (the game moves more smooth then). But it will last at least for a few months, for sure.
And of course there could be weeks when you are not playing - when you are on a leave. But then, you should try to find a temporary replacement

On the other hand, not knowing Orbis well is not as important. You will have a lot of time during the game to try it :)

It has a lot of new stuff... that is good for me at least (new civs are especially fun; they have really new feel and new mechanics)
Especially, it is concentrated around economy. And about making different kinds of econnomical decisions viable - no longer "aristogarian" economy is clearly the best. So, if you prefer some economical choices in addition to military struggle, Orbis is good for you.
It also introduces some BtS elements to FfH, like espionage system, corporations and great generals.
Despite being FfH modmod and mostly adding things, not removing, Orbis feels closer to vanilla BtS than FfH itself
Main disadvantege (in my opinion at least) of Orbis is weak AI. But, in PBEM game it does not mean much.

Azhral, maybe YOU will play OCC PBEM?

Ok, so we have enough people.
I was not sure about you, Azhral, because of your 'tentative' post, and then forget about you...

I have no time today, but I hope we will start tommorow

EDIT: Who is a 'Blue One'?
Azhral, OldLion, which leaders do you want?

ANOTHER EDIT: I will play Svartalfar

So, only waiting for Azhral

If I'd be welcome and you're up for taking a risk with the nooby (and I leave the decision up to you Jarrema, its your game after all) I'd like to join up as Capria of the Bannor... I might change my mind on that but if I don't let you know in time that's my problem.
