Off Topic: Seperation of photos from the introductory topic

Ok so basically I think the "Off Topic member photos topic"-concept is lame. As it stands the member photos topic is seperated from the member introductions topic, and that gives me cause for concern. Humanity and civilization exist because of face to face interaction.

Should it not then follow that members should be allowed to introduce themselves, in the introductory topic, with a photograph? Right now the member photos topic screams no life. Regards,

If you mean the Comings & Goings thread, that's been around for many years. The Members' Photos thread is a relatively recent one. There's nothing to stop a new person from posting in both.

Granted, it goes back a long way. But how far back did Comings & Goings start? It floated around for many years before it was stickied back in 2010/2011 (I don't remember offhand exactly when I did that).
