Offcial Civ4 Site is Up

Frederick's diplomacy theme is available for download, so he is in. I retract my statements about missing leaders. Kublai Khan is the second Chinese leader though, so the Mongols have only one leader now and Qin is out...

This is terible news! No wait:

I hope all the music in the game is as 'real' and in-depth as what is on this site. Although a small part of a game, it can add sooo much to a game, and is, unfortunately, overlooked. I remember reading they were doing some special things for the soundtrack, but this is unbelievable!!

I like how in the background the drums are carrying on the now-infamous civ melody.

Just click on "GAME INFO" and it went into the ORIGINAL CIVILIZATION THEME!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: It's making want to break out my old computer to play a few rounds!!

Again with the telephone as an American invention! It's Canadian!!!! It was invented in Brantford, Ontario by Alexander Graham Bell to be precise. Americans may have refined it, but they can't claim it as their own.

Just watch us! :D
(No, seriously though, you're right. Maybe a Firaxian will see your post and change it?)

By the way, where is this 'Units' section people are talking about?

once agian, fantastically dissapointed with the leader choices, and the attendent descriptions as well (but then I guess it isnt right fancy to term casar as "political tyrant and usurper fo the republic", Gengis Khan as "Khan and overloar dof the conqored chinese nation" when using them as leaders frop those nations.

I downloaded all the music available on the website... it's really beautiful pieces of work... :worship:

I remember reading somewhere that the pre-ordered version of CIV comes with a CD soundtrack, with all the music from the game on it. Has this been verified?? If so, then I'll be bringing a CD player with me to the store so I can spoil myself on the trip back home with some of this excellent music!

When you're on one of the first five mentioned civilizations, there's a half-circle at the top of the screen to click on called 'see the units'

Edit: beat you again Belboz :)

Forgive me if this has been addressed somewhere else, but some units (e.g. Chariots, in the Greek Units page) have only two icons per square, not three. Does anyone know if this affects unit strength in any way?

The Greek chariots by the way have a very silly war movie; they are hacking away in their chariots with their enemies not in range who then fall over just like that anyway. Maybe they just play dead

Also there is a link under Community to this web site:

The Gunship unit movie has a similar problem; the helicopter just flies over to the square and the bowmen shoot arrows at it and then fall down. Apparently helicopters are so scary to bowmen that the bowmen die of cardiac arrest after getting a couple of shots off.

LOL you're right; well, there's still time to get a fix in and let the gunship fire a Hellfire missile at them or whatever they're shooting.
