Oh, the weather outside is...

Mid 29's forecast here with a high of 29 Celsius of Thursday.

In NZ people think Dunedin is cold with overnight frosts and around 8-10degrees in winter during the day. Cold snap around 0 during the day.

I don't think they have a clue. I suppose when below 15 Celsius is considered cold Dunners is freezing.

It's 21°F (-6°C) with a windchill of 7°F (-14°C). We got some sleet (ice pellets) this morning, but the roads are still mostly passable. The temperature and windchill have been relatively constant for the past 30 hours.

That's cold!

I parents were once in ottawa when it was -50 degrees C and that's not even factoring in wind chill.

Yikes.

This is when cats are handy. One cat is the equivalent of a blanket. Four cats = a heavy quilt.

We moved the bed into the lounge due to the heat. Left heat pump on 16 overnight it was 19-21 overnight hit 30 today I think.

My pillow. Mush kitteh!!.

It was to damn hot. Had to move her over to get in the bed. She settled for the bottom half a 50/25/25 split.

It was 21F/-6C when I got up this morning, and the temp's been falling since. 13F/-10.5C right now. The forecast is for -10F/-23C sometime late tonight, with wind chills as low as -30F/-34C. The city closed the schools today, and will be leaving one of the big train stations downtown open all night, so the homeless who can't or won't get into a shelter have a place to sleep. The forecast for tomorrow is for a high temp of 17F/-8C, then on Sunday, it'll leap back up to 45F/7C.
