You know, I always say I have two favorite teams. The Red Sox, and whoever is playing the Yankees that day.
Since the Yankees didn't win (yet again), I liked them both. I do have to say that I enjoyed watching the D-backs pull the victory from the jaws of defeat. that just can't happen enough to the Yanks, IMHO.

Anyone who posts in this thread should know that my editor doesn't compress images very well, so although I can make the picture I need one of the other contributors to compress it in their editor.
The pictures are physically small enough, just not saved with quality algorythms. Same with my own avatar, although I made it myself and saved it as 64x64 pixels, I needed another member to open it and save it again with Photoshop to chop the fat off it's bloated pallet (redundant colours).
This is mainly due to insufficient HD space: only space for one small image editor

What I would like is something on my old Hobbes theme again - I used to have him up in the tree fort, dancing, and over at CDZ I have Calvin and him looking quite evil

I would like to make an avatar request, if I may.
I do not have anything specific in mind, but I'd like it to be a picture of someone.
A bit more specifically, I think I'd like a picture of a famous fiction writer if possible, or an Indian. That may seem odd, but both of those have a lot to do with me as a person. By famous fiction writer I mean someone like Salinger, Melville, E.E. Cummings, Kesey, and many others.
If you guys can't find any suitable pictures, no big deal!

firstly I just want to apologise for going totally off topic but from what I've seen the people who are most fluent in Paint Shop Pro hang about in here the most so here goes.........
how do I make an image transparent? I'm trying to make an image see through so that it can be placed on an another image as a watermark but it doesn't stand out to the point where you can't see the whole picture because of it.

yeah I looked at them. I don't want to make it disappear entirely. I just want it to look faded so that you can still see it.
I'm doing a website for a customer and he wants all the pictures used on the site to be "branded" with their own logo. But both of us want the picture to slightly blend into the picture so that it doesn't stand out as much.

BTW - is that an extra lighting effect on the leftmost glenfiddich image? What kind of plugin did you use for that?
actually that logo I just happened to find with a google search
so the "lens flare" was already there. BUT...
using Photoshop you can add a "lens flare" with the Photoshop "filters" that come with the program
It's under "Render" then "lens flare" As to wether or not I use "plug-ings" yes I do, the only "pack" I have right now is Eye Candy 4000, but I have seen about 3 more that I REALLY REALLY would like to have. But Eye Candy does quite a bit, so I'll have to wait until I can afford the others
You'd have to find someone here that works with PS. I think what you want would be fairly easy in Photoshop though
