Old AMD K6-2 333, even older motherboard

I have a HOT-557 motherboard that currently has a Pentium Pro 200 MMX in it. It can handle dual voltages, the lowest core voltage setting being 2.8 volts (this is the concern), 66MHz front side bus, and up to 3.0 clock multiplier.

I also have a AMD K6-2 333 processor, which can run at 66MHz, but the default settings are 95MHz, 3.5 clock multiplier, and it states it's core voltage setting should be 2.2 volts.

First, can it even remotely safely run with 0.6 higher core voltage than it's stated requirements? And even if it can, would it be worth putting it in there in place of the 200MHz Pentium Pro? The system works fine with the Pentium Pro, but I don't know if I'd get anymore processing power from the AMD, given the max bus speed and max multiplier.

By the way, yes it is worth it to me to keep this old system running ;) . It has 128 MB system memory and works okay as a backup internet system, as well as being perfect to play older games that spaz out on faster systems.

Thanks in advance for any help here!

I doubt it would be worth it. Back then Intel CPUs performed quite a bit better than AMD's counterparts, so the performance difference is probably minimal. Besides, with browsing the net or most games of that era, I doubt you'll notice the difference.

The little bit I have been able to find on that motherboard says that it only supports AMD K-5 CPUs so I dont know if a K6 would even physically fit in the CPU socket.

It looks like the K6 family had 321 pins and the Pent Pro family had 387 pins.
