I cant get pass this turn. I deleted the cache, the mod and the data and reinstaled it from steam with the same result.
 
First let me say this is my favorite scenario hands down. Thanks for your work!

I am playing the stable Europe 1939 scenario. When using a ranged attack with a field gun and infantry in this case in one hex against a howitzer and infantry on another the returning counter fire does 75 damage and wipes out my infantry. As you will see from the log the first ranged attack works normally. The second ranged attack (logistics) is where it happened. This has happened a few times at different points during my game when conditions are right.

yes, thank you for the log, I've had the same bug, but hadn't found a direct fix.

But the current method to force an unit to be the choosen defender on a plot was flawed anyway, and I'm now using (in the dev version) an override in the DLL that will prevent your unit to be wiped out if it wasn't the intended target of the counter/support fire.
 
This mod looks amazing, but for some reason it crashes irregularly between turns. I have only tried to play the NA/Europe map 1936 as Stalin. When it crashes (has occured on turn 10, turn 17, and 42) it always crashes when it is USA's time to make their move.

I have the game on Steam (version 6.1.7601), I don't have G&K and the only other mod I have activated besides the WWII edition and the data files is the Faster aircraft animation mod. I have downloaded the combat DLL and unzipped it in my Civ5 installation directory. Do you (or anyone else) have any idea what to do?
 
The 1936 maps are alphas version and are unstable at this moment. I would suggest to use the 3 stable maps (see the description text on the right when choosing a scenario) until T_KCommanderbly (who's sadly unable to mod currently) or someone else could find time to fix the crash on those maps.
 
Hello I love this mod, but when i end turn 87 as the Soviet Union in the Europe 1939-45 deity scenario my game just consistently crashes in the middle of the battles. The only mods I am using alongside WWII are R.E.D. extreme and faster airplane animations with the standard version of Civilization 5.

Can you try with quick move / quick combat on during this turn ?

If it still crash, I'd like to see your end of turn save, please.
 
v35 when loading an auto save turn 5 playing Germany 1939 I get another set of starting units putting me well over the unit supply limit.
 
I can't test it until next week, anyone else with that problem ?
 
Hi Gedemon, I'm experiencing a crash on the 1942 map while the American's turn is being processed. It's not due to the maps size, because I've played it before with my current version (version 34). Would you like a log? And also, I can play the map as America, but not as any other civilization.

In v34, Europe 1939-1945, I did encounter an unexpected event that may be a bug. I used a howitzer to fire at a city containing a howitzer. The attacking gun was stacked with a full strength panzer IV (wooded hill for cover). The counter battery fire from the city killed the Panzer IV. Having a full strength unit obliterated in a single turn was, to say the least, unexpected. I assume that this was not by design.

I am upgrading to V35 now. Cheers!

what happens with the others civilizations ?

the crash is reproducible ? if yes, I'd like to see the log.

v.35 should have fixed the "counter-fire of death" bug.

This seems to be the case for normal saved games as well.
so no one else with this ?

can you post your log from after reloading the game, please ?
 
Well, it seems it's just Britain that's having a problem with America. I can play as Japan, Germany, and Italy. Haven't tried any others yet though. And yes, it's very reproducible. The game instantly freezes when America's turn starts to process. And then it crashes. Here's the link to the log:

EDIT: USSR gets the crash too.
