OMG, why I am so pathetic at this!

In Civ2 I could play a great game at Diety Level and now have a tough time in Warlord! You can pretty much forget about anything high than that. I read all these stories about people getting culture victories in the 1800s in Regent (I'm sure there are more impressive things but I fainted from shock just by hearing that) and wonder what I'm doing thats so different then them! Does it take practice or is there something I dont know?
The king is dead .... but for how long?

Read the short tips and newbie posts. They have many good ideas. CIV3 is not CIV2. Don't play too many games at Warlord. Warlord plays easy and can promote bad habits that hold you back at higher levels.

For the time being play Regent and don't get too attached to your game. Don't give up too soon but restart before the inevitable bone crutching defeats gets you depressed. Have fun. Take risks.
