Aren't you just god damn tired of always being the good guy, the anti-hero, the guy who has to advance a plot in the name of a vaguely defined Goodness the permeates your faction?
Factories belch smoke into the sky, unyielding to the collective will of the soot-faced humanity who reside along the river. Cutpurses and cutthroats throng every alley, willing to take both cash and life to survive another day. But what is survival in Arex?
Another night throwing back poison at the bar just to tolerate living?
Day by day. Night by night.
Unyielding are the market forces forcing the worker to sacrifice a year of his life for three months of labor. Unwanted is the individual for anything other than his labor and cash.
The Vox Populi call out for a hero. Somebody who will take up arms to overthrow the oppressive system.

Managers, capitalists, strike-breakers, scabs.
Attacked on the streets, in their homes, even in the workplace.
And that is why we need you. We need somebody of your expertise.
Will you become an Agent of the Order of Nosdracha and free labor from itself?
Or will you cast your lot with the Vox Populi?

Welcome to On the Riverside: An Action Chatroom. The game is based heavily mechanically on American Uprising by Lighthearter. I mean, to a point.

Rank: Aspirant (Vox Populi), Recruit (Nosdracha), Freelancer (Freelancers don't rank up)
Vigors: There are several Vigors, or unique abilities available to everybody in the beginning. Everybody starts with two points to invest in all of these. Points won't come often. Most of these abilities are fire and forget, but some can be charged to lay traps. You need to be careful when using these abilities. The strain on one's insanity shouldn't be doubted...
Bucking Bronco: Launches targeted enemy into the air, causing them to float.
Murder of Crows: A murder of crows will attack your target.
Shock Jockey: Ohey. You can shoot lightning from your hands.
Devil's Kiss: Great balls of fire.
Possession: Can possess machines and humans. Humans commit suicide after a while.
Charge: Literally charge and hit hard. Charging just makes it hurt more.
Return to Sender: Can deploy bulletproof shield in front of you, or "charge" the ability to catch bullets and melt them into an molten orb of throwable evil.
Undertow: Use your Lovecraftian ability to grab enemies from afar in your loving watery...tentacle embrace.
Cyclone Trap: WIND! Painful, cutting wind.
Enrage: HEART! Use this to make an enemy just go nuts.
Incinerate: FIRE! Whereas Devil's Kiss throws balls of fire, this one makes your target combust. It is a tad more...straining on your mind however.
Sonic Boom: RUH RO DAH.
Old Man Winter: Well, this one is just cruel. Like setting your enemy on fire.
Blink: Teleport to anywhere within line of sight.
Equipment: Rule of thumb, this is a Dieselpunk world. Go crazy, but not too crazy.

During combat, every player has one move and one action, or two moves. Reloading a weapon is an action, but parrying a melee attack is a move.
