Onan's multisession G&K, Alternate Reality Game (8pm in Auckland, GMT +13)

I beg to put VCs on again(i dont mind about others) for our next FFA EPIC GAME.

Up to you guys. I'll be playing with babies, not playing civ. This will be my last one for a good long while. :clap::hatsoff:
 
VCs should be turned on but we can agree to leave last vote/social policy/spaceship part unfinished and continue playing. We may probably fight the little baby for his daddy's time in the future;)

Anyway, I will just describe what I will do if VCs are on.

It surprises me that Manhattan project does not require uranium. And this game I learnt a lot more on late era mechanics, such as nuke destroying forest/jungle, MC does not require aluminium, subs can't attack cities etc.

I have the second and maybe the last GS bought by 1000 faith (under the tech Lasers). He will bulb Partical Physics. The Nanotechnology is free from Oxford.

Our forces are mostly naval. Without uranium, we can't push back the Songhai infantries, nor can they advance further into the capital. We have bomb shelters in al cities and our fighters are spread across every city to minimise nuke damage.

The Celts have subs 'threatening' us should they chose to, so a few more MCs are needed. That would be insane chaotic WW3.

The Byzantium people are greatful for all foreign support to contain the Songhai aggression. Especially deity CSs are no joke!

Even the Songhai managed to take down both Byzantium and Persia. It won't be in time to take down the Celts, given they also have massive faith per turn to buy GS and launch the spaceship instead (that's my guess in the alternative reality). Also Songhai forces have to pass the Mordor by water and Celts subs will be there to ambush.:goodjob:
 
With no VC on it's even more legit to attack. And with so much uranium it's hard to not go that way too :D Nukes are the most powerful units in the game.

Nothing would have happened too if i DoWed you before you had steal the cs...

If you play to win it is absolutely the right thing to dow me before I can take CS. It has been obvious that it was my plan for a very long time.
Thats why I like our games. Its more for fun and less about ending it quickly. A normal game I would've backstabbed E the same turn you dow'ed him to build up a big buffer of puppets to keep you in check. Instead I decided to turn the world against you. Its more of a single player game with humans that way.
Because of that I understand that it makes it a little harder for competitive players to understand what the more casual players are doing because it just doesnt make any sense to them.

Yep, I'm with you, Foff. I'm tired of the typical game, compete and fight to win the game, using the logic of the game. I fight for reasons that make sense in the game I'm playing, or just for fun. Mostly I like to be peaceful, but with the right reasons, war can be a lot of fun. To me, winning the game is not the right reason anymore. It's just boring. Not to mention hard. :D Plus I feel bad if I win or lose. Give me a reason, though, and then I have just cause for a just war. :jesus::ar15:

But you see, the Allies didn't want to destroy Germany, they just wanted to stop Germany.....

Pretty annoying when you have to decide in a few seconds a coordonated attack in mp. Main reason why i thought it was a bug in the beginning.

Question : Does 1 single aircraft can stop a bunch of planes or its 1vs1 only?

one fighter has 1 interception unless promoted to have 2. so you need more in quantity.

also SAM and missile cruiser has interception. I have both near capital so you need 10+ bombers to not get intercepted.

destroyer has interception too

Edit: in this case best option to go is to use fighters' air sweep to 'waste' the interceptions (still 1vs1). so that bombers can do the actual damage once you see the 'fighter encounters no air resistance' notifucation.

Why miss it? Just continue it, you have Dad's permission. I started with four players. Tab was in on that game, still one of the most memorable.

We should try to fix a day or 2 per week to play. But summer time is more complicated for all of us i guess.

Let's see first if some other players are ringing here :)
