Onan's Naval GMR game (G&K)

We have recorded our first success! In the waters outside Honolulu (not the capital) Carthage suffered 2 casualties in what looks like an attempt to test our resolve and defensive capabilites. We expect many more ships to join the fight soon.

He took Samoa with privateers.

Carthage is razing the newly captured iron city, because our western fleet is threatening to capture it back.

Is Samoa an iron city?

Now that Carthage fleet composes of mostly privateers, it's even annoying.

Carthaginian frigates are joining the fight. If he has more in reserve it is just a matter of time before we get overrun, but we fight on. I still have good feelings about this, but one have to prepare for the worst.

Sometimes 1+1<2
The extra coordination is making the resistance harder.
Especially the super speedy naval units, really hard to react in time.
On the other hand, I really like G&K naval battles after the batch.

A bunch of ships are concentrated in Gades(approx 16 of them). Nothing can pass from here, blocking the way to my capital. Some are healing, some others from the main land are joining the huge armada. Warring Istanbul is not in my plan for now, tempting to block a 2 ways attack from Netherlands and Polynesians. I still outnumber all 3 of them though. Time begins to play against you guys, my number of ships is still raising.

I'm trying to liberate Antwerp. More ships may come from the Danish lands to support them.

You guys know, that while Tab seems straightforward, he's not above propaganda and misdirection, if it helps him achieve his goals, right? :cooool:

Tab is likely to win in this war of attrition, but it's no fun without a fight.

What I meant was don't make it easier for him by believing what he posts about ship locations, etc. I'm rooting for the alliance, I want to be resurrected!

One Carthaginian frigate sunk within sight of Antwerp, more to follow

PS @Onan, I agree, anything he posts about ship locations is likely meant as misdirection or intimidation ...

The Carthaginian fleet has retreated from Antwerp, losing another frigate in the process and taking heavy damage to its rear guard. We will continue to pursue.

Did you name some ships after your Danish donors? The Ribe, the Aarhus, the Copenhagen, and the Kaupang. They and their refugee crews love nothing more than sinking Carthaginian ships. :)

should've :D their mission is the liberation of Denmark, after all ...

Question about that, in case(unlikely) that we do liberate denmark...will Onan rejoin the game?

Yeah, certainly with dev support it should be doable.

I'm losing the war against Byzantines near Antwerp. Danishes have good chances to be resurected

More important is to protect our iron. England entered the big war making a 5vs1 situation. He lightly throws an attack to Ribe as i can only see 1 SotL near that city. He's throwing a bunch of longbowmen probably to try to pillage the iron but i think i can counter this for now.

Meanwhile, i'm winning the other war near Gades. Both Netherlands ships and Polynesians are sinking through our infinite waves of ships coming from Gades and the main land. At this time we growed our capacities to 20 around that city. Probably 3-4 more will sink before the next turn though. Polynesians will be in great danger soon.

Cash will mostly serve to defend Ribe for next turns. Losing Danish cities will not result in a big hit excepted some gpt. More infos to come :)
