OOS and IP errors

My friend and I played some MP games with a direct IP connection, and the only complaint was the OOS errors every few minutes. I just hooked up a wireless router and now we cannot connect directly to each others IP. I disabled the router's firewall, but it still will not work. We can still connect through the gamespy lobby, but the OOS errors are still a major nuisance.

Any ideas?

The oss comes from random events, if you disable them you will be fine

Is there a way to play with random events or will it crash anyway?

We just play a LAN game with random events on and would like to continue it. They should definitely fix this then.
