And yeah, i know I cant attack germany, but still, I can wipe them up If they attack me!
 
OK, game started. Here is the order:

On my first turn, an italian infantry was destroyed by a tank outside Thessalonika. 2 German subs were sunk near New York in the Atlantic (I didn't find them, my battleships ran into them :p )

A couple of scouting fighters see large quantites of Panzers near the French border. Bit obvious though :D

Ingrid and Bogie have met in Paris and all is happiness. The French cavalry wiped themselves out on some panzers (one lost unit) and that is about it. I am waiting for a confirmation from LostKnight about his email address and then I will send the game to him.

@LostKnight (and everyone else): When I was editing the scenario, at one point the editor decided to change all flak units into mobile SAM's. The stats for the two are almost identical (mobile SAM's are slightly better at air defense and have a 2 movement). I don't think it is necessary for LostKnight to disband one unit just because I could not find them all. I will update my master maps and post them in the Scenario Creation thread, but I think we should just continue with this game as is.

6 German Bombers bombard Paris defeating 3 Fighters

Germany attacks all along French Lines with 2 Art and 7 Panz def. French 7 Inf while losing 3 Panz

Germany captures Dutch cities Amsterdam and Brussels.

Germany attacks all along British Lines with 3 Art and 8 Panz def. 3 Inf, 3 Tank, 1 Flk, and capturing 1 Art while losing 4 Panz

Germany attacks French city of Paris with 11 Panzers def. 3 Inf, 2 Tnk while losing 5 Panz

Germany also captured the Dutch cities of Zagreb, Skoje, and Nis

Hitler is reportedly happy with the progress made in the opening stages of the war and believes that Paris can be captured by August.

I missed one other small naval engagement in which a German Sub sank a British Dest just off of the coast from Amsterdam
 
I discovered, when playing a private pbem game of this scenario, that the Temple of Artemis (located in Prague) was still giving freebie temples (along with the designed 1 tank every 4 turns). :blush: As having temples in the German cities is not really all that great of an advantage anyways (sort of simulates their propaganda) I believe that continuing on is still ok. I have actually changed this in the posted maps, however, as I said, I don't think it will really unbalance the game that much.

On a side note, I took away the Pyramids from Marseilles (which is in El Mencey's scenario), and as the Germans usually capture Marseilles by turn 6 or 7, the cost difference kind of balances out. Probably having free, built, granaries would be to Germany's advantage more anyways, so giving them free temples should be easily balanced by that. BTW, I meant to take away the Pyramids from Marseilles! They are now located in Boston (thus giving only the North American cities free granaries).

Sorry about the little bugs, but I had to playtest this using the AI, mostly. This is due to my illness. :crazyeye:

@Bkgreatwarnut--Bogie and Ingrid thank you for your vote of confidence that Paris will last that long but unless you kept more than half your army idle, I doubt that Paris will last that long!

Played and sent. Most of the Panzers outside Paris redlined completely by our bombers. Only a rifleman inside though. German sub sank in the Atlantic. Italian tank and infantry outside Thessalonika redlined.

The battle of El-Alamein is about to happen, with me victorious. Only an Italian conscript Tank in the area.

We have wiped out the Panzer column that was threatening Paris at the cost of one Infantry Division! Total losses for Germany there: 7 Panzers! :clap:

In Norway, the Resistance Movement found some German workers in the hills and immediately liberated (destroyed) them!

Barring some miracle of pbem playing, I will not be available for my next turn, so Oblivion will take both the English and French turns until I return. Naturally, if we do get around to me by tomorrow (Friday) I will take one final turn.

In the N. Atlantic 5 German Subs attacked stacks of Cruisers and Destroyers def. 1 Cruise and 1 Dest while losing 3 Subs

Strangely the people of Berlin are rioting. Hitler reportedly said this confused him since the war was proceeding nicely. He is a bit stressed by reports from his generals that the Paris will not fall until August at the earliest. However, he received favorable news in the announcement by the Spanish that they would thank the Germans for help in the Civil War by entering the war on the side of the Axis.
