I still had the common files installed which is good because the link does not work anymore. So if anybody must download them it would be good if someone still had the zip version of it to upload it on CFC.

The biq file to use is the one in post 2 in your thread, MP version, correct ?

I read the file thread you linked to and see that the Dutch are normally AI as they don't last long, but I would be interested in just playing a small country. I don't need to last through the game. Would just be a little obstacle

They really don't have many troops and should be out of the game after around 5 turns and having a human player take over might unbalance the scenario if they start rush building units and pillage roads.

@Iron Duck: the Dutch don't last at all...you could, however take Spain...it is best for Spain to stay neutral for a year or two at least...let me know

To the others: we will wait for Iron Duck's response and then I will have DogBoy start the game after I ensure that he has the correct map.

For game purposes and so that everyone is on the same page:
The civilopedia IS updated.
Resistance Guerillas are different from standard ones, are buildable only by France and USSR, treat all terrain as roads and have stealth attack of all ground units (including those without a/d values).
Bombers do not have lethal land bombard, long range bombers do.
Submarines can only be seen by ASW destroyers (an upgrade from standard destroyers)
No city razing is allowed with the following exceptions: if it is done automatically. The resistance cities, if captured MUST be destroyed. These are Tito's HQ, Norwegian Resistance, French Resistance, Russian Partisans 1 and 2.
It is much more costly (in worker time) to build RR and forests.
It generally requires iron to build any improvement that expands culture, this was to prevent Resistance Cities from doing so.
Airports do not connect resources, only harbors can connect resources over seas.
Harbors do not build veteran ships, only cities with Commercial Docks will build veteran ships.
Only a select group of units can be airlifted, IIRC they are Riflemen, Airborne, Workers, Leaders (I think that's it)
England can only get a GA by building a Great Wonder (Shakespeare's Theatre). Italy and France will start with theirs, Germany, USSR, and Spain can get theirs by UU. GA's last 1 year.
The draft penalty does not last 20 turns (reduced to 12), the hurry penalty was reduced to 15 turns.
Fascists do not use people to hurry, they use cash.
Only France and Spain are allowed to change governments.
Only Germany and USSR can create Settlers. Germany is to do so only to replace a city destroyed. USSR is to do so only to create a Resistance city in enemy territory. Settlers treat all terrain as roads, so they can keep up with Resistance Guerillas. Resistance cities are not to base aircraft (unless they build it) and should not build anything that would be 'inappropriate'.

One more thing I forgot to mention, since it was so obvious to us who have been playing these scenarios...USSR can not declare war on Germany, Italy or any of their allies until turn 11 unless its territory is violated. Germany and USSR troops must move out of each others' territory as expeditiously as possible at the start of the game.

Ok, then, we should be set for the kick-off. If anyone has any questions about the rules, let me know. Spain is a neutral, that means that no one can initiate a MPP or alliance with them (same as with Sweden). Such may be signed, but the AI must initiate. In the Market Garden scenario, Sweden had initiated an MPP with USSR but the Soviet player had not mentioned it in the thread. Please do so if you happen to sign any deals that involve RoP, MPP or alliance with any AI other than Netherlands.

ONE MORE SUGGESTED HOUSE RULE: We should let each other know what the combat results are since we can not replay the results. Thus, Germany should tell France, killed 3inf, losing 1 panzer and relining two others, etc.

(somehow the El mancey common files link dont let me download the file ...) anyway... i can decide already to get the spanish... near my country and... russia could be a hell of responsability... in this scenario.

THE WORLD IS AT WAR!!!

It's true, the Germans and Italians have declared war on France and England. The Allies have enlisted the help of the Americans, but will be referred to as English for simplicity. Ever since the Franco-Prussian War of 1870, and The Great War of 1914-1919, the Germans have been an ever growing menace. Their recent moves and subsequent capture of Poland, and build-up of forces on the German-French border is proof of their desire to conquer the world. England was not to sit idly by and let this happen. In a mobilisation unlike the world has seen in ages, England was able to send forth Her navy upon the sea, and Her army upon the land. Many brave sailor lost their life in some sea battles, but it was nothing compared to what the Germans lost. Even though only a little blood was spilled this month, there will no doubt be much more spilled before the Axis are defeated.

France has begun its plight to defend its homeland. Threatened with enemies on its eastern borders, France will fight have to fight hard just to stay alive. Which is what we intend to do, coincidentally...

This month we did the following defensive attacks:

Germany:
Bombed and destroyed 2 panzers near Starsbough,
Destroyed a segment of railroad connecting Bonn & Frankfurt
Bombed a road connecting Iron Near Bergen

Italy:
Destroyed the road connecting Furs near Milan
Bombed Infantry near the Milan/Marsielle border
Destroyed a railroad on the iron near Milan
Destroyed a road near Tirana
