Origins of the terms Cronos and Saturn?

^Cth tends to sound obscure and alien But 'cthonio' gets pronounced with a Chi in Greek (χθόνι&#959 and so doesn't sound like the C (K) in Cthulhu or Cthonic :\ Cthulhu is pronounced with a K, though, as Κθούλου.

Chthonic means subterranean. I don't see why you'd need hypo- as a suffix. Under-underground. What's that?

I pronounce cthonic and Cthulhu the same way - K'th-onik or K'th-ooloo.
