OGI Patch has been updated

1. Merged SDK Specialist Enhancements mod by Supercheese, allows specialists to affect a city's Health and Happiness.

2. The Doctor and Great Doctor have been changed to add health instead of food.

3. The Artist and Great Artist have been changed to add happiness.

4. The default sum Values for all city specialists (except the Citizen, and Great General) has been standardized to be 7.

5. The total number for any standard specialist in a city is capped at 13: 10 from regular buildings and 3 more from Wonders.

6. There are four wonders which can globally change every city specialist:

a. Universal Health Care (National Wonder): +1 health to all specialists
b. University of Sankore (World Wonder): +2 research to all specialists
c. The Kremlin (World Wonder): +2 Spying to all specialists
d. Sistine Chapel (World Wonder): +2 Culture to all specialists - This is not new (Informational only)

This patch is a wonderful change and creates balance among all the specialists.

Hi Orion, I merged your immagration mod a while back, but I have just discovered that the join city button is not working, it is displayed fine, but when I click it nothing happens?

What part of the code do i need to look at/fix to get the button to work??

i have found the bit that seems to refer to displaying the button, but not the bit that makes it work.

Orion’s Grand Inquisition Mod version 3.01


Announcing a major update to the definitive mod for Civilization 4 Beyond the Sword (BTS 3.19): Orion’s Grand Inquisition Mod version 3.01. See the first page for the download link and get it today. OGI 3.01 will be the last Major update for a while, to give everyone a chance to play the mod and tell us what you think. If there are any unforseen problems, I will work on a fix and turn out a patch. For now, enjoy!


What's new in OGI 3.01?

1. CIVICS: Have you ever wanted Civics with attributes that reflect realism and historical accuracy? The standard BTS Civics in OGI have been completely overhauled. There are now a total of 57 civics to choose from, which will make the spiritual leader trait far more important and useful than it ever was before. There will be 7 major subject categories, each with at least 8 individual civics. Some of the new civics will include the bullion economy, organized labor and Religious law. There will be one set of civics that will focus on the different aspects of empire mobilization and another set for spying. Each individual civic has positive and negative aspects that provide game balance like never before. Do you want this at the expense of that, is the question to be answered every time you change civics.

2. Specialists: Have you ever wanted specialists that can add food and happiness? Introducing the Farmer and the Entertainer specialists. Of course there are great farmers and entertainers. New life has been given to the specialist economy, which is now far more useful and flexible. Good thing too, because you could find some of your AI buddies having several cities with a population size of 100.

3. World Builder: Have you ever wanted to change some of the custom game options after starting a new game? The capability now exists to change any of the custom game options at any time during a game, which is extremely useful for troubleshooting any problems that may arise.

4. New Wonders: There are four new wonders: The Mona Lisa, The Louve, The Theory of Evolution and Sutro Tower.

5. Terrain: The attributes for the Marsh terrain have been changed to a default of 1 food and 1 Commerce. The change from 1 hammer to 1 commerce provides a clear distinction from the terrain plains.

6. Maps: The map choice will now be limited to OGI_Smartmap to eliminate any possibility of crashing the mod using a public map. All games will be custom.

If you notice there are 8 mobilization civics, each focus on one major area of your empire:

No Mobilization - No change
Mobilize Military
Mobilize Economic
Mobilize Science
Mobilize Covert Ops
Mobilize Culture
Mobilize Agriculture
Mobilize Production

The Mobilization CIVICs are truly a great addition to the game. By sacrificing 5% in each of the other areas, you can boost one area by 33%.

Examples:

1. If you are in a war and need more military units, you can sacrifice 5%, in each of the other areas, to gain a 33% boost in military unit production, by selecting the CIVIC "Mobilize Military".

2. If you are running low on gold, you can sacrifice 5%, in each of the other areas, to boost your economic output by approvimately 33% (gold 16% and commerce 16%) by selecting the CIVIC "Mobilize Economic".

OBTW: The AI knows how to use the mobilization civics very effectively.
 
does the great doctor have the teach skill ability, and if so is it C++ or python?

Here are the special abilities of the Great Doctor in OGI 3.02:

-Can start Golden age.
-Can discover a technology
-Can join city as Great Doctor
-Can Construct Universal Health Care (National Wonder)
-Starts with Heal (Promotion)

You must be referring to another mod that provides the Great Doctor with the "teach skill ability"

I have released the Additional Strength Source Files. The download contains all the XML and SDK files needed to create a new promotion called: Extra Strength. It provides Archery and Melee units with +1 strength, which is not a percentage increase. It is an integer increase and adds a new tag in the CIV4PromotionInfos.XML file:

Others have attempted to create both a Python and SDK version, but the files I tried failed to work. So, I wanted to post the correct changes needed to make the promotion work correctly.
