Ork Big Shoota (August 3, 2006)

EEEELLLLVVEEESSS IINNNNN SPAAAAAAAACEEEEE!

Stupid Space elves. Why they are redoing their codex before the Ork codex I don't know.

Are all orc wh40K unit names pronounced as if they are something out of east london working class pubs?
Are there no plans for an "orc phenomenological ontologist"? :)

That was something that amused me about the Lord of the Rings films too. All of the orcs and associated creatures have strong London accents, compared to the fairly neutral accents of everyone else, apart from the amusingly Welsh dwarfs. (Couldn't quite understand why the hobbits' accents varied from Somerset to Glasgow, but there you go.)

Orks have Cockney Accents, becasue they hate the letter 'H'.

A lot of the orcs were played by NZ army, maybe that's what you're thinking of, Stormrage?

Not that it has anything to do with WH40k orks, of course. ;)

Yes, many of the orcs were local extras (I used to live in the part of New Zealand where they hired them). But the voices were all provided by voiceover artists. Andy Serkis, who played Gollum, did quite a few orc voices too, I think.

But enough of this digression!
