Paradox Interactive games

"See my problem is if there's a single issue with a game, even if it's great otherwise, I won't be able to enjoy the good from the game and will simply be annoyed by the bad and never play it so I'm kinda looking for whatever's the most perfect game they've made yet."

So, how are you able to PLAY ANY GAME?

Once again, HoI2 feels like throwing historical accuracy out the window in my games. In spring 1940, the Soviets randomly declare war on Hungary. This then causes a chain reaction when Hungary joins the Axis a week later, causing Barbarossa a year early. Finland, Portugal, and Yugoslavia all join the Axis, but the Yugoslavians have an event which results in a coup and withdraw from the war. By fall 1940, the Soviet-German front has little changed, with the Soviets gaining the upper hand. However, Romania has already capitulated to the Soviets, and Bulgaria should be doing so anytime now. And without a land connection, Germany will be unable to help out in Greece once Italy invades, so I expect the Greeks may overrun Albania.

EDIT - And Greece just went and decided to declare war on the Soviets...

Yeah, you get things like that. I've had....

USA allying with Germany to take on the Allies.
The USSR building large fleet in a sea it can't leave (just like on Civ II)
Hungary joining the Axis when Germany is down to 2 provinces.

There are some real annoying things too, like no nation will ever disband a ship. By 1945 a MK 1 sub is all but usless, but they will keep it. Even worse, if it is the best they can build, they will build more! The computer does not really 'get' amphibious assults (only the UK or USA can really do it with their 'D-Day AI').

well ahistoricallnes is fine as long as it's not implausible. And as for how I play any game, I really don't anymore for more than maybe a day or two at a time before I get sick of it and go to another. I haven't finished a single game in anything since WW 3 years ago.

Ker-westion: as somebody who didnt like HoI, am i unlikely to enjoy EU3? Is the gameplay basically the same?

If you gte EU:3 you really need to spend the extra cash on getting the 2 expanions as well. Napoleans ambition and In Nominee. Before In Nominee it was ok, after it is great:D

Do I need both? Would in Nominee not have most things Napoleons ambition has?

Reading about IN it sounds like it's awesome now. One thing that I'm sure will still annoy me though would be not being able to take entire countries at once. The Byzantines are back too right?

What is the highest industry score you have achieved in Victoria? Mine is only around 8000 or so.

I've only played a few games of Victoria so I haven't gotten the hang of a few of the more detailed points of the game, but I always fall behind on research with the education slider to the end of the right and I seem to get killed in later years by America as Britain because they have "gas" which I assume is because they have oil factories or something. How do you construct more factories and keep up research so you can keep up in the Colonial race?

9433 as Austria.

Managed to conquer a lot of Europe and the only other civilization on Africa is Transvaal (OPM, Will Die Soon).

Colonies are really a waste of time and money, unless you have full citizenship and can use all people in factories.
