Anyone notice that the new leaders for existing civs have music from other leaders? For example...

Churchill-Victoria's music (Which I really don't understand)
Stalin-Catherine's music (I would think Peter's music sounds more Soviet-like)
Rameses II-Hatshepsut's music (I can understand)
Augustus Caesar- Julius Caesar's music (Also, I can understand)

Why is it any more incomprehensible to you to have the same music for Churchill and Victoria (same country and around 100 years apart) than for Rameses and Hatshepsut (200 years apart, and not really the same kingdom).

Hatshepsut and Rameses are both New Kingdom. I'd like Stalin to have the Soviet National Anthem simply because it's a great tune.

why you call that lazy?!
there wasn't any need of a addition of the gamemusic. also it's a lot of work to implement new music. or do you think they just have to drag&drop the civ3-music into the civ4 music-folder and that was it?!

also if i remember right it was requested by some users on the questionair for the expansion.

You think that's lazy? How about ripping music from Civilization III?

I don't think that is considered lazy, I think that is a good way to bring back memories of Civ III. I think it's a nice addition.

Yeah, it's nostalgic.

But still pretty lazy.

Civ3 songs? Nostalgic? That was just a couple of years. Now going back and getting the music from Colonization, thats nostalgic

November, 2001. Four-and-a-half years, just in case you didn't consider that "a couple."

They needed more soundtrack because they added music to the ancient age (which was a GOOD thing to do). While much of the civ3 music was just so-so, some of it was FRIGGIN' AWESOME! And they USED the "Unused Opening" title from the Civ4 soundtrack that came with the deluxe edition.

1. churchill; he still had the empire and intended to keep it.
2. stalin; i agree, peters music makes more sense.
3. same again
4. i was a bit miffed at the lack of new music here, i like roman music...
or at least what people reckon it was like.

new soundtrack includes civ3 diplomacy music... i thought that was wierd.

why is it lazy if there wasn't any need of more music?? even it's "just" the music of civ3 it isn't lazy....

The Civ 3 music rocked, I'm glad they brought that back.
I agree with you on that one, actually to tell you the truth I think that most of Civ 4s music is not all that good the modern music in particular

Monty's music is civ 2, right?

I agree that I wish the music was new for the new guys. Ill assume theyll add new music when they get time.
