Oh yes, of all the governments in the world, the Venezuelan government is the most heinous. We need to get start another bloody war and cause the deaths of lots of Venezuelans because there's a "strong-arm dictator" there (but it's okay to support Saudi Arabia, because apparently they have a good dictatorship there).

I've debated many times here it was ok for Israel to send a missile on the head of whatever extremist muslim-leader hiding in occupied territories, even it would cost the lifes of several civilians around him. I've also debated those hanging around such individuals might not be officially 'found guilty', they're hardly the fine fleur of society either.
I see no difference with Pat R. and his fans.
Maybe one though.
There will probably be massive anti-Robertson media stuff in the US. Something not too likely to be expected from the free Palestinian press, when your average muslim-extremist-imam spreads his words of violence.....

I think Sharpe's position has more to do with his strong believes in laissez faire capitalism, and thus his hate for a dude like Chavez, than with his support for Pat R.

if the holy quran containing suggestion of the use of violence against non-believers is enough a reason to categorize Islam as a terroristic religion, than by the same reasoning, christianity should be a form of terrorism as well.
the christian bible is no less barbaric and violent than the Islamic bible, and both suggest gruesome treatment of infidels. plus, both religios had put those gruesome suggestions into practice in history. we should always be on the alert, if such extremist like Pat Robertson gets control of our country, they would not hesitate to set up concentration camps for all atheists, agnostics and believers of other religions.
the high standard of living in this country is not achieved by scrupulous adherence to the dogma of this religion or that religion, but rather by the lack of such adherence. the moment america is turned into a christian state, its golden age will be over. we all know what the period in history when christian fundamentalists were in power was called.
we shall guard our liberty against terrorism, but we shall not do so at the expense of fostering an even greater threat to our freedom - religious fanaticism.
