Patch 1.61

Will installing patch 1.61 stop excess usage of video card memory? I recently upgraded my video card, but now, even w/ most of the settings on low, standard, continents, 7 civs (1 less than default) I still get a fatal error saying that "video card memory is full" and Civ has to close. Any ideas?

What kind of video card do you have? I have a GeForce MX 4000, which Civ 4 says is below system specs, but it runs fine w/ all low seetings. I would say you need at least 128mb vram, 64 isn't really enough.

As far as the patch goes, it can't really hurt anything. I have noticed some improvement in video performance, so I would give it a try.

My Video Card has either 128 or 256 MB RAM, can't remember and his made by Radeon. I'm not exactly a tech guru, but my computer exceeds all of the recommended requirements and received close to the max score on a website that tested the computer for its ability to play Civ 4
