Patch 7.4x Bugs

if you have lots of red blobs chances are you only installed the patch without the full version, or the download was corrupt, there are afaik only 1 unit that is a red blob, see post 3.

next missing txt:
TXT_KEY_SPELL_OPEN_MINING_COMPANY_HELP and
TXT_KEY_SPELL_OPEN_FISHING_COMPANY_HELP
 
end turn and you will have some loop thingy.

its sad. :/ i realized that yakut can rush horse archers and i managed to get it working. onslaught :D str 6 3 move against poor weak swordsmen w/o bronze

TXT Key BuildingRiverside_Help missing.
mouseover unit with White Fairy promotion shows a red blob for the promotion icon.
Units with Blue Fairy promotion show city square when selected.
 
I have uploaded Patch 7.42 which should fix both WoC (Waiting on Civilization) savegames.
 
I'm getting a python exception often during AI turns.

Svartalfar use normal graphics for farms instead of the elven "orchard" thingie.

House Vadalis ( the one you get at hunting ) always has the icon with the star, even in cities that are not the one it's been founded in.
 
Emperor difficulty, Aggressive AI on. AI declared war some 20 turns ago, but still no attack whatsoever, and they are my close neighbours so it's not like their army is marching towards me :D
 
the mana display on the left is wrong. I have 1 mind, 1 shadow ( coming from palace ) and 2 nature ( palace + song of autumn ) , but it's showing 0 mind, 1 shadow and 4 (!) nature.
 
not a bug, but followup to previous post: the line saying that the spell is disabled for followers of Esus would be very useful if it was shown also when you're about to buy the spell promotion with XP, so that you can know if you will not be able to use it ;)

is it intended that Esus followers cannot cast loyalty, but can cast justice? also, the justice icon doesn't look like a civ4 button, but like a square ( ugly corners )
 
the display is not wrong. Please don't report anything you aren't familiar with yet (cause else the actual bugs get lost). The Nature mana comes from House Vadalis.

AI only declares war when it moves its units into your territory. So any other wardeclaration is some FFH scripted stuff. Even if there is a bug, without a savegame there is nothing that can be done about it ;)

do you have a savegame for the python exception?
 
whoa, 2 sources of nature mana just by spreading it in 2 cities? sounds uber, but I'll have to play with great houses more as this is my first game with them :D

I'll see if I can catch savegames for the DOW and the python exceptions.
 
there you go, just press enter and Arendel will DOW. turn out I was wrong about her period of inactivity after DOWing though, it's closer to 10 turns than 20. still, she does nothing and after a while moves a lone hunter near my southern city. hunter gets promptly killed and she suddenly goes from "refuse to talk" to willing to sign peace. this is the second time she DOWed, but the first time she actually attacked.

btq, I was able to use Justice in a city that was still building a courthouse, but didn't have it yet ( obviously :lol )

will get another savegame for the python exception and report back.
 
in case you are svartalfar like in the screenshot above, that is a normal FFH scripted DoW.

another oddity I noticed: one of my archers was in a city with palisades and had enough xp to buy a promotion. he had the possibility to buy "Archery II", which seems like a bug.

You don't know that the good elves attack the evil ones around 20ish AC ? :p
 
I don't remember the AC nearing 20.. oh well, you're probably kidding and I'm too sleepy to get it. it still seems like a crappy mechanic leftover from the days before wildmana AI, you know like civs beelining bronze working on turn 1 and getting nowhere :lol:
 
It would be fine if there actually was an attack. One thing I learned quickly when messing with the DOW logic is that there's a big difference between the AI deciding to go to war and actually building a stack to invade you with. If they don't have enough "conquest" units built, they'll sit there and do nothing, which is more than a bit anticlimactic for a scripted event.

I can build the "Join the Esus Cult" Ritual while following Esus, and I can build Esus Hall also in cities without Esus. not sure if these are intended.
