patch for direct2drive installations?

I've sent email to the 2kgames support and have yet to hear anything.

Has anyone out there seen anything about a patch that will load with a direct2drive intall of Civ4?

Is there enough value to 1.09 to want one (I've got a geforce4 MX440 video built-in to an ASUS board and still have black terrain even after trying a couple different BIOS flashes)?

I kept looking at the 2kgames' site, looked at d2d's 3-4 days ago <grrr> I figured there at least be an announcement at the marketing company's site with a link </grrr>

Anyway, fixed my black terrain/FOW issues and game seems smoother. Still a bloated system hog, but such is the nature of software development. SEFAS rules!
