Patch Questions

Hiya all.

I've been out of Civ III for awhile, but getting back in. I've got the 1.16 patch, but I missed the 1.17 patch. Do I need to DL 1.17 before DLing 1.21 or can I just patch with 1.21 and be ok?

you can just download 1.21 but i recommend you first download 1.17

You don't need 1.17. The latest patch 1.21 included all previous fixes.

I know i already asked but only one person answered so 'ill ask again:Will people be obligated to buy civ3 n the X-pack or will the x-pack contain civ3 as well?

I would say that the XP will almost certainly not include civ III. With the estimated price being less than Civ III, I think that guarantees it.

And its a pretty normal sales / marketting ploy to make the game manditory if you want the XP.

You'll need Civ3 to use the expansion. Then they'll release a "gold" version combining Civ3, the XP, and some new features about six months later.
