The Athenians are pleased that the Ionians have agreed to the territory exchange.

The Samos for Andros trade was a fair one and the proximity of either city to its own capital benefits both nations. I hope we can do business again in the future.

Sorry. I have edited the post now. I use my mobile to upload the save from my laptop when I'm at work (night shift) but as I have limited date a switch it off straight afterwards and edit the post on another PC. I suppose I could just do it on the laptop really as once the page has loaded I have already used the data, but I'm suspicious that my laptop will automatically try and download loads of windows updates and wipe out my monthly limit!

I suspected something like that might be going on, when I'd thought about it!

No news at all. Getting three turn in in one day is great progress. I hope we can keep it up!

Athenian horse explorers find the city of Celetrum and are surprised to find such a remote city firmly loyal to the Ionians. Athenians establish the city of Carystus on the land recently ceded by the Ionians. We ask the Ionians to please move their trader now adjacent to Carystus so that we may bring in slaves to improve the square the trader is occupying.

Without wishing to jink it, we are setting a ferocious pace. Love this scenario. Based on John Ellis' (Patient English) classic Hellas.

Our trader jumped ship when it was realised his wares were needed in the east, rather than the west. He is due to be picked up by a passing ship this turn.

Under the Corinthian-Ionian treaty, Celetrum falls into the Ionian sphere to the north as does Pelium.

Etruscans can't build Psiloi? Is there documentation on who is allowed to build what?

Psiloi are a Hellenic unit so can't be built by the Etruscans, Phoenicians or Lydian/Persians. I should have added this to the read me really. I think the Peltast, Psiloi and Toxotoi are Hellenic only units. The Phoenicians and Etruscans will need to recruit (IE Bribe) mercenaries, such as Numidians, Iberians, Latins and Celts, as their skirmishers. If I remember correctly I made sure the cost to bribe these units was very reasonable versus building skirmisher types.

Travellers report that the Athenians are building a giant Lighthouse and that it was nearly completed almost as soon as it began.
