PBEM game "Praetorian"

The Chinese feel so bad for the Polish that they have decided to introduce newer aircraft to kill them with. These new aircraft are 4th generation jet fighters, which the CAF are referring to as "J-10"s. Not that they were really needed, but now Chinese air superiority is even further ensured. The 1st and 3rd Air Divisions will be fully upgraded by the end of next year with these new models.

- News Dispatch -
The Empire noticed that the Polish Canuk nation is suddenly getting less "attention" than before. The Imperial Council therefore voted unanimously to support the Emperor's decision to send Liberators back into the orange lands.

While the prevailing attitude among the citizenry is one of support and patriotic fervor, a small minority of miscreants have immediately taken off work to scrawl graffiti on public monuments. The most common message seems to be, "Oh no, not again!"
Rest assured, these yellow cowards will be prosecuted to the full extent of the law.

Official government reports detail several successful initial bombing runs. However, rumors that 2 full squadrons of Bombers failed to return to their airstrips are still being hotly denied, as the government clearly wishes to avoid any parallels being drawn with the last... not-so-successful.... liberation effort.

Stay tuned for more info from the front lines...

I wonder what the diplomatic back story was on this war. Its hard being the heir to a ruler who annoyed eveyone.

Oh, save to Peter.

Yeah - you stepped into a mess. The die was pretty much cast long before you joined. No matter how good of a player you are, there wasn't much you could have done.
Thanks for soldering on anyway! :hatsoff:

-New Dispatch-
Emperor General_W addressed the nation today:
"Dear people of the W_Empire - today is a glorious day for our Nation. We have at last liberated the orange city of Ottawa. The day draws near when at last the world can live in peace again.
This great victory is a fitting commemoration of the 600th Anniversary of my successful
coup d 'etat rescuing of this nation from the dictator boc4j in 1260 AD.
So what that I'm 2 years late? It's time to party!"

1862 sent.

The Chinese people have made a final peace with the Canucki people! Proper memorial celebrations will be taking place later... we are just too tired right now to really do the whole parading and partying thing.

The Chinese armed forces are moving back home finally, after decades of war, and the generals are proud to declare that all ground units that began the war will be returning from the war. Most analysts feel that public discontent would have been much worse had the Chinese military actually lost entire battalions, but fortunately the skill of our commanders prevented such catastrophic losses.

Common sentiment is mixed and confused right now, with most people having been born during the war, and not really remembering what it was for or what started it all. Generations brought up by rationing, combat, death, and mutilation are having problems fitting into a non-military role and a peacetime environment. We do not know what sort of issues this unusual mix of lifelong pain and hatred will bring about, but the future still looks more promising than the past for China and her people.

Celebrations have also been dampened by the fact that our allies still fight on. We hear of a major assault on the final Canucki holdout is about to begin, and wish the best for our brothers in arms, and thank those that stood beside us in the past.

1864 started :)

Any Canuki refugees should not attempt to cross the frontier into Greek territory. Anyone found doing so will be considered 'unclean', registered in a database, and forced to watch the DIY network whenever they aren't sleeping. You have been warned! :gripe:
