pbem - straight up, no gimics, minimal restrictions

Greece is drafting rifles to deal with the English threat. If the Korean knights and Japanese elephants wish to move upon us, they will be met with stern opposition. (That's right we got rid of our right to free speech for nationhood!)

True you may have agg/pro. But I have about 20 units on you and last turn there were just 2 muskets in your border city...

Units get upgraded and urgent plea for money was sent to both Korea and Japan. There are limits to number of inexperienced draftees Greece can produce. Why did you guys allow Muff to grow this big anyway?

You can only upgrade archers to longbows, and unless Korea/Japan grow they are in hot water too. I wasn't the original owner of Greece, indeed I haven't warred until you came in! Look at the map - I boxed in methinkso and got a choke point defence against Japan and just casually settled all the available land.

I can draft 3 a turn which is more than enough really.

I blame the map. But you get what you pay for with a randomly rolled map.

There were four of us cheek to jowl in the east and then SPACE, then Greece and England. The first Greece player wanted to walk 400 tiles to Japan and attack when he should have been REXing like made. Muff did an excellent job of that.

It's a bit of the map, and a bit of methinkso not pressuring me and allowing me to block him in. Also I have a lovely fin/phi civ to use :)

Yes taxys plan was strange, especially as England would have been finished if he had concentrated on one war.

Ruff was ahead for quite a while, well developed, nice wonders and shrine and decent early war (but no metal) you took a while to finish mitu though and then perhaps too long to settle all the possible land there.

So rexing without much pressure it hasn't been too hard to develop like this with my fin trait!

Englishmen will not go down without a fight! People of a good will must be happy to learn that English Musketmen killed the best unit Greece had -- Bernard Montgomery Cavalry!

Sad but can't be helped. I would be more upset if I lost either of my city raider rifles though! Probably would have been better waiting for cannon...

I had only 5 units in London and you lost five in order to capture it!

My England never lived for me to see the losses Greece took capturing Hastings. Could Muff please elaborate?

It was a lot better than I feared with the amount of collateral I could cause and the advanced era of my units. I lost the 3 cannon and the catapult, and then a cavalry and a rifle that I care about! It got me a great general though! Plus lots of happy and academy cities :)

Here is a twist in the tail ... the game just offered me an AP victory option. I am putting the vote to the players. It is between me and Zoot.

Vote for me :)!

God not an AP cheese win... Please abstain! I have not been violent towards any civ currently left without provocation.
