pbem - straight up, no gimics, minimal restrictions

Here is a twist in the tail ... the game just offered me an AP victory option. I am putting the vote to the players. It is between me and Zoot.

Vote for me :)!

But why you? You never even directly engaged Greece which is eliminating entire civilizations. Vote for Zoot instead :goodjob:

God not an AP cheese win... Please abstain! I have not been violent towards any civ currently left without provocation.

Very true. You haven't been a dick with your giant lead. While I did put the vote to the players, I abstained so no one will actually win.

If, on the hand you had proven yourself an enemy of the planet by nuking your direct competitor excessively (key word! excessively), I would have voted for an AP victory ... anything to stop you winning.

*Ahem* By the time people are able to nuke each other someone discovers Mass Media making AP obsolete... And for UN you need the will of all the people, not only those who belong to AP religion.

Oh ... I can think of at least one game where that isn't the case.

This is too funny ... honestly ... why are we still playing this game?

Greece has destroyers in the water. Destroyers. Tanks on land can't be far behind.

Edit: Not to panic. It wasn't 'destroyers' ... it was only destroyer (singular). Well, not anymore ... 10 galleons and 1 frigate died killing that destroyer.

I would have had them 10t ago if I hadn't had stopped to get democracy. But in GA now my grassland towns are 2/2/9 or 2/2/10 riverside (a lot of my cities have levees too) I saw your galleons massing with my city visibility and wanted to counter it. I got lucky as my frigate city had huge overflow and I had settled on oil so I got one the turn I got sci method.

My main 1 mover stack is 2turns from your borders. Roughly 6 cannon 25 rifles 10 infantry and a few more Calvary.

Lets crown the Victor! !!

Well ... as I said about 40 turns ago, I am willing to concede. But also fine playing on a little. My welcoming party will be ready for their arrival.

I also added this to my destroyer post above ...

God I didn't think you would go for it! I would have upgraded the frigate escorts otherwise!

Honestly ... there was nothing to lose.

You might (HA!) win this pbem ... but I'll be the one with the story about killing your destroyer.

:goodjob::D

no no no ... just a few more turns so I can kill his stack. Then I am ready to concede.
