Hello Everyone-
I've been scoping out the PC threads and found various modpacks/scenarios and other assorted goodies for PTW, Conquests and the like. I'm not too familiar with all of the ins and outs of transferring files from PC to Mac, but I would like to know if these things are possible for use on our new C3C. Do I need a special program/patch for this? I'd like to begin to take advantage of all of these creations.

They will come either as zip files called 'xxxxx.zip', or as installers with .exe on the end of their name.

.zip files can be expanded on your Mac, though you *may* need to download Stuffit Expander (free) from Allume Systems if you've only installed Tiger, as Tiger was shipped without it. The expanded folders should be able to be dropped into the relevant /Scenarios/ folder in your Complete installation, and you should then be able to open the scenario from teh main menu.

.exe files are more of a challenge, as they self-extract by running as a Windows program. One or two have been found to work by dropping them onto Stuffit Expander, which can find and extract the folders within them. But for others you would need to run the .exe file oon a PC to create a folder you can copy across to your Mac. Copying the extracted data from PC to Mac can be done on a writeable CD/DVD or a USB memory stick or via an ethernet network cable, depending on your capabilities and equipment.

SE isn't needed for .zip files, as Tiger handles them on its own. But it's still good for other sorts of file.

Thanks, guys. I'm going to try that huge honkin' cold war scenario to see how it goes. :goodjob: Any suggestions for other scenarios you might have tried?
