DIAL UP BEWARE OF LINK

A huge list of some of next year's games.

Though a few have already been released and the screenshot for Mount&Blade is from .7?? .

My list;

Hmm, well ones which I have read about and am looking forward to (may or may not be released and/or on the list):

Mount&Blade - well ,i already own it, but I anticipate the mods and full version!
Spore
Crysis
Europa Universalis 3 (well, I don't intend to get the game, but I do read AARs sometimes, though I think the new 3dgfx they have for EU3 are not great)
Gotich 3 (I know it's out but it's still on my list)
Portal
Half-Life 2: Episode 2 (might wait until all 3 are out, maybe not)
Red Orchestra: Ostfront

Ones I've only seen on this list but look interesting and I will watch:

World in Conflict
Sins of the Solar Empire
Ancient Wars: SPARTA
Dragon Age
Witcher
Drakensang: the Dark Eye
Hard to be God
Lord of Creatures
ENOSTA: Discovery Beyond
Starfall
Castaway's first game
Alliance
White Gold: War in Paradise
Tortuga: Two Treasures
Infinity
Elveon

I expect several of these might not be ones I am interested in, and I highly doubt I'll ever get even half of these.

Don't have time to read the whole list, but there are at least two Strategy games, which could shape up to be great:

Jagged Alliance 3D and
a sequel to Seven Kingdoms!

Wow, i never thought i'd live to see the day. :)

Silent Hunter IV :goodjob:

Games I'm Going To Get For Sure:
SPORE
Europa Universalis 3
Halo 2
Halo 3 (360)

Games I Might Try Out:
Theater of War
Football Manager 2008 (if I don't get 2007)

Red Orchestra has been out for a while. And isn't selling to well, it may still be on discount on Steam.

Europa Universalis 3 (well, I don't intend to get the game, but I do read AARs sometimes, though I think the new 3dgfx they have for EU3 are not great)

I don't get why they even bother. EU was never about fancy graphics, it was about solid, deep gameplay.

I believe it's just about doing something different. The old engine was simply getting a bit long in the tooth, and they've already got two quality EU games out already. Take the risk and see how it goes.

That said, I'm still not a fan of the new look, so the gameplay better be pretty damn good :crazyeye:

I'm gonna get EU3 for sure. I think the game looks just great (yes, graphics too :)).

Another game I will follow closely is Quake Wars (from the same people that made Enemy Territory).

People, EU3 graphics are so because that game is an Grand strategy game, they want EU3 to work in 2-3 year old computers too, if they wanted they would have made the graphics like M2TW, but whats the point of that?

Well i don't see the need for 3d in games like Civ or Eu2 at all. If Civ4 is any reference, it makes the game look ugly and a resource hog. Give me crisp pre-rendered 2d graphics ala Baldur's gate any day! :)

I agree. Even if EU3 graphics look good, I think they should spend their time and resources at what they are great at - gameplay. But as long as EU3 runs on my laptop and gameplay equals (at least) EU2's, I won't complain :)

Supreme commander
Tibirum wars

I don't mind 3D graphics, if they are done well. My main gripe with the way EU3 is looking right now is that it seems to be too cluttered, and a bit unpolished - both of which I'm hoping will be sorted out. Take Neverwinter Nights and Baldur's Gate, both widely regarded as brilliant RPG's, yet one uses a 2D engine, the other 3D. It's not about having 3D graphics, it's how you use it :D

WHAT THE HELL HAPPENED TO THE SMILIES?

Well well, we'll get a new computer maybe on spring, so Spore(sure resource hog) and of course EU3 look nice.

:yumyum:
