I'm curious about what others would prefer to use to install modmods. The current method, drag-and-drop folders is easy, but can be a little strange for first time users. I can also make a installer package, like the one commonly used in installing games for modmod's, that is simpler and offers more guidance, but I know some people are paranoid about viruses with .exe's. So, would you prefer I move to .exe installer or continue with the drag-and-drop install. If you want to see a demo .exe I made for Afforess's Modmod pack, I attached it below.

I don't think it matters that much as the drag and drop way is easy. I don't mind using an exe though.

Also, there is a problem of MLF adding entries. With .exe, it would be harder if someone modified MLF directories to their preference instead of standard.

AS I have not yet learned how to Mod BtS RoM I prefer the least convoluted path.

If it's a simple one folder drag an drop that's good, but if it involves multiple files then I back off. And this MLF stuff, I really don't want to go there.

So for me, make it simple to install. Cause if you don't....well then I won't be using it.

And that's my story and I'm sticking with it! :D

Good point. That's why my addon pack doesn't come with a MLF file. I would just cause problems for everyone else.

Edit: Nice one Joseph II, we posted at exactly the same time

To facilitate users who lack computer experiance, I will be moving my mods to .exe installers. However, I will still make drag and drop zip folders available to those who prefer them.

You can have your cake and eat it too.
