Yeah - the last 10 or so battles showed odds my way of 65% to 70% but I was lucky winning all (or almost) of them.

This is why I don't like navel games like this ... if you suffer a turn like this with land units, you can reshuffle your forces and keep going. However, you don't tend to build that many naval units and losing a stack like that completely stalls any advance.

sorry about the delay - home pc caught a Trojan that had been sitting on my machine for a number of weeks. Finally noticed that I wasn't getting any reminders about Windows Update, found the Trojan and had to go back to a Feb 2012 image to get it removed. I now have over 30 windows updates that want to install themselves.
