Phi - Always War Archipelago

Ermm, I have to say that is one of the most extreme travesties of an RNG that I have ever witnessed.
:wow:

Nevertheless, we mourn our lost frigates.

Not as bad as the one I just visited upon the frigate in my water (can't remember whose it was). The frigate snuck past my blockade. I blocked them in with 4 frigates so when they came back in range I would be able to kill it. My first non-upgraded frigate killed the level 3 frigate! Bring it on fellow admirals.

Looks like I escaped just in time....

Feel free to post a picture of the turn log :D

That wasn't the 'HMS Just Looking, No Threat' that you killed was it? I believe it took 2 frigates to take that scout down.

This is why I am starting to not like water maps ... it is a rush to navy techs and then RNG totally screws you.

No, it was only 1 frigate. Perhaps somebody else suicided a frigate against one of yours somewhere else.

I somewhat agree that it is a rush to navy techs and then see who can dominate, but you can't discount your land forces. In order to see what is coming at you, you would have to have so many ships surrounding your land. If not, an amphibious landing could really mess you up. In the end it will come down to a ground war.

Yep. I wasn't going to attack you with only 1 frigate because the chance of me winning was something like 23%. You are welcome to revisit me if you want. Just come a little further to the north next time. Make sure your sailor's life insurance is up to date.

Couldn't post earlier but GPS happened just after I lost my fleet and before I lost my army. Foreign adventurism....I guess not for me.

Dogboy your frigates are testing the boundaries everywhere...careful now! :mischief:

I learn more every time I play. It seems I haven't paid much attention to XP. Obtaining those points are more important than I thought.

Only because you are expanding like a cockroach. Those island cities defended by one tiny unit won't be safe forever.

Yes, XP is very important. Especially when it comes to naval units. Letting those barb cities survive close to you is a good way to get XP because they keep spawning galleys and triremes.

I guess when your first destroyers turn up, the quantity of XP on everyone else's frigates will appear somewhat less significant.

I surely hope so!
I think we lose our Ivory soon :shake: back to all wooden keys.
